Chapter 260 Dragon Mount
Chapter 260 Dragon Mount
"A dragon!?" Madison widened her eyes in surprise. Even Chen Yu was surprised since he didn’t think that the elven royals would be so extravagant as to use a juvenile dragon as a mount.
One must know that dragons were prideful monsters that would rarely submit. Especially the young and rebellious dragons.
He estimated that they must have taken it away from its parent when it was just an egg. But even if that was the case, they must still deal with the a.d.u.l.ts since they were extremely protective of their young.
For them to use a dragon as just a transport mount to another country, Chen Yu couldn’t help but applaud their wealth.
"Korvan! We’re back." Blythe called out with a smile.
Opening its eyes slowly, Korvan nodded its head and cracked its neck.
*ROARRRRR!!!!
Crying out while stretching its wings, its giant body stood up on all fours.
This roar had startled all of the other mounts as they couldn’t help but quiver in its presence. However, the same couldn’t be said for Yin.
Narrowing her eyes, she bared her teeth in anger. Her hair fluttered from her mana as Shiro knocked her on the head to calm her down.
"Don’t make a scene." Shiro whispered. With the help of her nanobots, she was able to isolate the sound so that they couldn’t hear her.
"But the dumb reptile is provoking me! Who the f*ck is the king of the skies ah!? This bird will teach him a lesson!" Yin raged quietly.
"Is there a problem Shiro?" Blythe asked with a smile.
Hearing her brother calling Shiro’s name with such forced familiarity, Lyrica couldn’t help but feel like she had just burst a vein.
With two people that were on the verge of exploding due to anger, Shiro could only glare at them both to calm them down.
"It’s nothing your highness. It’s just that Yin was a little startled by Korvan’s shout just now. Please don’t take offence." She replied politely.
"Ah no offence taken."
Walking towards Korvan, Blythe had him lower his wings so that they could get on his back.
Yin protested about having to ride a dumb retile so Shiro could only compromise by having Yin sit on her shoulders.
On Korvan’s back, was a small room of sorts that was decorated rather lavishly.
"This is a spatial formation that we had some of our top experts create. Similar to the storage bracelets, spatial formations have been used to make room inside the construct to be bigger that what one would see on the outside."
"Are you not afraid that the space would collapse and turn you to dust?" Shiro asked with an ’innocent’ smile.
Morthil couldn’t help but twitch his lips in annoyance. Despite the fact that she looked completely innocent while asking that question, the girl had basically cursed his highness to die in an accident.
"Haha, don’t worry. We’ve already tested this time and time again. The space is not easily tampered with. Even if it was, it’ll force everything out first before collapsing." Blythe replied with a laugh.
"I see." Shiro nodded. However, as long as she destroyed the mana gathering formation and the circuits with her Mana Disruption Bullet or Celestial Path, no back up plan would work. It would only reduce everything that was inside the room to be reduced to dust.
In a day and age where mana was basically everything, she was its worst enemy.
Entering the room, they were shocked to see how big it was in reality. The spatial area was big enough so that it was akin to an entire floor of a flat. Modern bedrooms and decorations could be seen as holographic controls appeared in front of Blythe. Making some changes, he allocated some rooms and placed Shiro’s room next to his. Lyrica’s room was as far as possible from him since he doesn’t wish to interact with her if possible.
If not for the fact that he wanted to put on appearances for Shiro, he would have her suppressed to the point where she couldn’t talk and drag her to the capital that way.
"Your names can be found in your rooms. If you need anything, just send a message through the A.I." Blythe informed.
"Ah before we go to our rooms, can I share mine with the rest of the party? Of course, Chen Yu can be by himself." Shiro asked.
"Mn, if that’s what you wish, then of course." Blythe nodded. He had plenty of time to talk to her during the trip. But right now, he realized a problem. If he were to take Shiro back like this, there was no doubt that his older brothers would recognize her beauty.
There was no way that he was going to allow that to happen so he must make some preparations.
Shifting the rooms around a little, Blythe had joined their rooms together into a giant room.
"The trip will take around a week. Enjoy yourselves for the time being." He smiled and made his way to the main bedroom with his escorts. Morthil went to his own room as he had his own concerns regarding Shiro.
Entering the room, Shiro had others make themselves comfy while she did some hacking by the side.
Pressing her fingers against the tablet, she invaded the network and realized that everything was being monitored.
Taking extra care to avoid the automated firewall, she set up a secret channel so that they could message each other without the worry of being spied upon. After all, despite her being able to set up a silencing formation, they were obviously going to notice if a large formation was being set up.
Making a silent gesture, she passed them a small chip that can be placed on their phones to gain access to the secret channel.
[Shiro: When we’re talking about something sensitive or something that we don’t want them to know, use this channel to talk. Otherwise, you’ll be monitored.]
[Lyrica: Wait, how did you even set up a secret channel to begin with?]
[Shiro: I’m a hacker as a side job.]
[Madison: Damn, what aren’t you? You’re so many things Shiro, I’m going to lose count at this rate.]
[Shiro: Haha, it’s called being productive in my spare time.]
[Silvia: Should we tell Chen Yu about this channel as well?]
[Shiro: If he’s that man’s subordinate, he’ll surely realise that he’s being monitored. Hence why he’ll be careful. That being said, Silvia, is there something you’d like to tell us? What’s been happening between you and Chen Yu? You two have been talking quite a bit.]
Making eye contact with Silvia, Shiro grinned deviously.
Silvia blushed a little as she jumped onto the bed, planted her face into the pillow and refused to answer.
[Shiro: Rest up for now and practice on mana control or something. I’ll be doing some research about the elven continent. Later tonight, we’ll take a bath together since it’ll give you some extra benefits.]
[Lyrica: Eh? Bath together!?]
Looking at Shiro in shock, Lyrica couldn’t stop her face from become red as well.
[Madison: I know it’ll give Lyrica benefits but why us?]
[Shiro: That’s because I have the spirit of the mana springs with me. When I bathe, it effectively turns the bath water into the mana springs and helps reinforce your body and purify your mana.]
Reading her response, Lyrica couldn’t help but sigh in disappointment.
[Madison: That makes sense. But it turns out that you were indeed the one that robbed the Ospar family of their treasured Mana Springs huh?]
[Shiro: Well you see, it’s like this...]
Explaining the situation regarding spirits and her status as the only sylph queen, the girls understood why Nimue had followed Shiro.
[Lyrica: I see. So we should bathe with you as often as we can to reinforce our mana?]
[Shiro: Pretty much.]
Seeing her confirmation, Lyrica praised Nimue in her mind.
Talking for a little longer, Shiro instructed them on a few practices that they could do to improve mana control.
Looking over at Yin who was pouting because she had to ride on the back of a ’dumb reptile’ Shiro convinced her to train harder so that she could suppress a dragon with ease.
Using the dragon as a target of anger, Yin sat down and focused on improving her mana like a good daughter.
Seeing that everyone was practising diligently, Shiro smiled and turned to the laptop. She was going to make sure that she understood the general power distribution state of the elven continent before they arrived.
