Chapter 234 - 235: Accident (3)
An accident on a ship could be dangerous, so Qin Zhiyou and Lu Weixi immediately looked up and called over Secretary Wang: “Quickly, get the doctor.”
Everyone eating in the restaurant also put down their chopsticks and, driven by curiosity, some couldn’t resist pulling away from their tables to go see. Just as they stepped out the door, Secretary Wang, with a smile, greeted them, “There’s nothing wrong anymore, the guest woke up.”
After the false alarm, everyone returned to their seats. Secretary Wang lingered a bit longer before coming back in to report: “It happened on the deck, a middle-aged man staying in second class suddenly felt unwell and collapsed. Luckily, a nearby guest had knowledge of first aid and quickly revived him. He suffered from acute heatstroke.”
Heatstrokes would inevitably happen in such hot weather, especially in the tropics.
Qin Zhiyou let out a sigh of relief, but then frowned, “Isn’t there a doctor onboard the ship?”
Secretary Wang answered, “Well, President He is also not feeling well right now and is being treated. President Tian from the Southern Gang seems unwell too. But, after the guest woke up, the doctor already went to check him and found that it was nothing serious.”
That’s good to hear. Even Lu Weixi let out a breath of relief. Since her mother fell ill, she felt that, above all, health was the most important.
“But the guest who saved him has been staying by his side, he looks pretty exhausted too. Mr. Qin, should we later arrange a special passage for them?”
When they disembark the ship, there will be journalists and media, despite only being small ones, they will still delay the process for the sake of a good show. Qin Zhiyou nodded, “That’s correct. As soon as the ship docks, let them disembark first. If their condition worsens, call an ambulance.”
“I understand.” Secretary Wang withdrew and proceeded to carry out the arrangements quickly.
Soon, the big ship docked. Qin Zhiyou and the others weren’t government officials, so there was no need for a big procession, but there was still a red carpet and some reporters. As expected, Qin Zhiyou found a mask and hat for her to wear—when she looked at herself in the mirror she looked almost like a criminal suspect.
When disembarking, Qin Weijia’s family was still hoping to take the front position. They all rushed to the front. On the other hand, the second house was more disciplined; not to mention Zhisu, even his good second uncle, Qin Weijian, had a serious look on his face. Qin Zhiyou even recognized his assistant. As they disembarked, they stood on the deck watching them leave, as if maintaining order.
When all of the guests had left, Qin Weijian went to Qin Weijian and shook his head. Qin Weijian’s face seemed to show a sense of relief, but after a while, he began to frown again. However, there were many people around, and he did not say anything. He just followed the crowd to the airport.
Lu Weixi still took Qin Zhiyou’s car over there. On the way, Qin Zhiyou was constantly looking down and sending messages, too busy to pay attention to her. She was also looking out the window, lost in thought.
When she got to the airport, she and Qin Zhiyou would be going their separate ways. She didn’t know how many days he would be out of town for, but she could at least breathe a sigh of relief. When she got back, she had work to do, and she had to go to the hospital. She bought a gift for her mother on the ship! It was a pity that she didn’t end up working with Boss Liao, but she was busy with tests and didn’t lack money. Maybe she should just go and study for a Ph.D., or obtain a professional qualification certificate. That way, she wouldn’t be so passive when faced with this kind of solicitation again.
Also, there was the matter with Huang Qichu.
Just as she was thinking about this, a call suddenly came in. It was from Xue Feifei.
Without thinking much, Lu Weixi answered the phone. Xue Feifei’s voice immediately came from the other side: “I heard Zhisu was on the ship as well? Have you seen him?”
