地震时怎样保护自己

Chapter 307 - 308: Tears (1)

Truth be told, Xue Feifei did come without her usual mask and glasses today, but she did wear a hat. She was also dressed in very ordinary clothes, almost like a sweatshirt. At first glance, it was clear that she was not here to compete in glamour.

Her purpose for coming today was not to argue, stir up trouble, or even to have a meal. She was here because… when she broke up with Huang Qichu years ago, they made a promise. If he got married, she would come and toast with a glass of wine. The same would apply if she got married.

She just wanted to give a red envelope as a token of goodwill, without leaving her name. Who would have known that she’d see Yu Sixing at the entrance?

And, Yu Sixing was alone.

Now, with the wedding about to start, Qin Zhimei had already gone in to help. After seeing Xue Feifei, Yu Sixing sent away the young men at the door and stood alone at the entrance, hands in his pockets.

Xue Feifei glanced at Yu Sixing, then coldly turned away. Today, the bride was Yu Sihua, and she, of course, knew that Yu Sixing would be here. Knowing that made her incredibly calm when facing him. She walked straight towards the empty reception desk. A guestbook lay there, she picked up the pen, thought for a moment, then did not leave her name.

Though she didn’t leave a name, she did have a red envelope prepared. It wasn’t exceptionally thick, exactly 2000.

This amount was typical for regular friends. Not too much, not too little, she did not write her name on the envelope either.

No one was attending to the reception desk, and no one outside was coming in. Xue Feifei hesitated a bit, but she had already arrived; at least she could give away the red envelope. After today, they would go their separate ways, marrying different people, and she would not cling on.

She took a few steps forward and walked right up to Yu Sixing. Before she could speak, Yu Sixing raised his chin, face full of arrogance: “What brings you here? Do you have an invitation?”

No, Huang Qichu wasn’t stupid, there was no way he’d send her an invitation, and she wouldn’t ask for one.

Seeing the expression on Xue Feifei’s face, Yu Sixing chuckled: “No invitation, then please leave, have a good day.”

Today was Huang Qichu’s big wedding day, and she didn’t feel like arguing with Yu Sixing. She took out the red packet from her pocket and handed it to him: “Here’s a little something from me. Anyway, I’ve delivered it. Since you are a member of the bride’s family, I can give it to you, right?”

Yu Sixing didn’t bother taking it, lifting his eyelids he looked at her with a mocking half-smile: “So you’ve come to bribe me because your career is going nowhere? Choosing today of all days…I must say, that’s pretty clever.”

He never thought Xue Feifei would have anything to do with Huang Qichu. He only knew that Yu Sihua, Lu Weixi and Xue Feifei were classmates back in school and would know each other. He had put pressure on Xue Feifei’s agency, which resulted in several cancellations of her bookings. He heard she was so bored recently that she even went back to school.

Looking at her today, in her sporty clothes, presumably she’s having a tough time financially.

Well, if she didn’t oppose him in the first place, maybe she wouldn’t be in this state now.

“Believe it or not, I’ve delivered the money. Whether you accept it or not, is up to you.”

She lowered her hat, turned around, walked to the reception desk, and placed the red envelope on it.

Just as she was about to leave, the door opened slightly, and a voice came from inside: “Bro, why haven’t you come in yet?”
