Chapter 64: Chapter 32 Another Girl (Thanks to Alliance Hierarch Maid Hoper Aozora for pouring water for me)
The girl with light wisteria hair stood in front of the mirror, listening to the sound of water nearby. She clenched the Ice Blade in her hand, glanced at her frail reflection in the mirror, and then, trembling, she set the Ice Blade down.
Returning to the adjacent room, she rummaged through the pile of men's clothing and finally touched something slightly cold.
The black and silver barrel of the gun was electroplated with a personalized signature pattern. This 'Silver Falcon C-23' was undoubtedly a top-tier weapon; even an ordinary person of Sequence 2 could easily kill a master of Sequence 4 with its attached Slashing Blade Sequence pattern.
Unfortunately, the moment the girl was about to grasp the handle, the weapon vibrated and its barrel locked.
Obviously, it was a biometrically coded weapon; if one wasn't the registered owner, not only would they be unable to use it, but it would also trigger an alarm.
As soon as the girl had this thought, the personal terminal on the bed began to vibrate and ring. Perhaps she should be grateful that this man was a traditionalist pureblood who had not implanted an auxiliary AI in his body, otherwise, even in the shower, he would have known what was happening outside.
Even so, she didn't have much time left. If she couldn't turn off the ringing, the man would eventually hear it, and even if he didn't, the shower would come to an end sooner or later.
In her rush, the girl hurriedly lunged towards the personal terminal, but she could neither unlock it nor silence it. She didn't know the password and she wasn't the owner.
Clutching the personal terminal tightly to her chest, burying it in the blankets, she began to tremble, and prayers incessantly filled her mind.
Stop, stop, stop, stop...
Stop, stop, stop, stop...
This kind of pleading and praying saturated her mind, hoping an unseen being would heed her prayer and end all the suffering.
...
At last, the ringing and vibrating stopped...
[Unlock successful, welcome back]
[You have received 1 new message, Warning: Your weapon has been touched by someone else, please immediately…]
...
Ten minutes later, a burly man with silver-grey hair emerged. He bore numerous scars and his features were ferocious, clearly accustomed to a life of violence.
His wet feet stepped directly onto the floor as he tilted his head back, turning his neck and walking into the room where he saw the girl with light wisteria hair sitting on the bed.
"Oh, you're being quite well-behaved, huh? I thought by now you'd be either crying your eyes out or in complete despair."
The girl kept her head down, silent, apparently fiddling with something in her hands.
The man glanced at the personal terminal on the table, unlocked it to check for any important messages, then carelessly set it aside.
"Don't even think about running away. Once you're in my hands, not even your school teachers can save you."
"But, if you make me happy, you won't have a bad life either, much more promising than going to school."
As he approached, he wiped the remaining droplets of water from his head.
"Even if you graduate from a very good school, aren't you just serving those old men? I've seen enough of what companies are like." After that, he lifted the girl's chin and, seeing her frightened and insecure eyes, he smirked.
"Alright, my little treasure, let me take good care of you tonight." With that, he ignored the girl's struggles and forcibly kissed her.
At first, the girl hit against his back with her hands, but such feeble resistance was in vain, and soon their heads slowly dipped lower.
As the man was thinking about how to begin the night, the girl's body suddenly shuddered, and then a gunshot rang out in the room.
With an incredulous look, the man slowly fell forward, a dark red bullet hole in the back of his head from which black and red blood flowed continuously.
Stained with the thick blood on her neck and body, the girl's mind went blank. After a long while, she finally pushed the man away, his body falling onto the floor like a stone.
An hour later, a series of urgent alarms sounded outside the hotel, and white-uniformed police officers stormed into the hotel.
...
"So, you're saying a 16-year-old girl, unarmed, killed a key lieutenant of the Silver Teeth Gang?" The police chief gazed at the lifeless little girl on the display screen in the police station.
"Yes, sir. There was only this girl and the victim in the room, and the murder weapon only had their fingerprints on it."
"I mean, could it be the work of a rival faction, who then framed this girl? After all, these kinds of incidents have happened before."
The police chief rubbed his head, thinking that Dianya City would no longer be peaceful, suspecting that the balance of the underworld was likely to be shattered again, followed by inevitable strife. He just wanted some achievements, but why was it so difficult?
"There might be such a possibility, but we haven't found any clues," a side officer responded, looking down.
"Keep looking. Also, re-interrogate the girl to see if she is telling the truth."
"Right, does she have any family? Ask about her parents and teachers to find out what this girl is like at school."
"We've already checked, sir. The girl has no family; she doesn't have many friends at school either. She was tricked by her classmates to come here this time."
"Tsk, the way the world is now... Oh well, let me see for myself," said the police chief, donning his hat.
A few days later, back at the police station.
"Still no clues. Strange, how exactly did she unlock the victim's handgun and personal terminal? The murdered 'Ying Xiao,' although being a deviant, was still a man used to living on the edge of death. He would have been careful; it seems impossible that he'd share his password with a girl or allow anyone to access the biometric coding of his gun."
"Did the girl reveal how she unlocked it?"
"She did, but her explanation is hard to believe."
"Oh?"
"She said she prayed, and then her personal terminal responded to her."
"Is this a joke? How could that happen? Reality isn't a mythological novel, and she's not an ancient witch with powers."
"Sir, I mean, what if, you know... there are always some people with astonishing talents. We live in an era with transcendental powers."
"If that's really the case, then it's truly remarkable." The police chief fell silent, seemingly deep in thought.
"Maybe we should conduct some tests, have her repeat the process."
...
Half a day later.
"Okay, we have indeed encountered a surprise, uh, or should I say, luck." The police chief walked out of the surveillance room shaking, then sat on the couch, taking deep breaths to try to calm himself, but his hands were still trembling."
"This is indeed a terrifying ability, especially in this society brimming with electronic information and AI."
"Transfer this girl to a detention room with no electronic devices, at most add a camera. No, forget it, just leave it as it is."
"Don't let her have access to any electronic devices, any, all of them! Do you understand?"
"Yes, sir."
For the first time in a long time, the police chief began to use the special communication equipment within the police station to report to the higher-ups.
...

In the projection, a cobalt blue tear-shaped emblem slowly rotated, then disappeared without a trace as the screen turned off.
