地震时怎样保护自己

Chapter 286 - 287 Stay or Leave (3)

He had once spent a month overseas too, but for some reason, he recently felt an intense urgency. Maybe it was because Qin Zhigu and the others had all returned, he simply couldn’t stand it and wanted to stick by her side all day long, as if he would not be able to see her again if he missed one glimpse of her.

It took him a very long time to quietly move a little closer, and then he started to shift again, first gently climbing onto her arm. Seeing that she didn’t reject him, he slowly leaned closer and gently pulled her into his embrace.

He was also very tired. He had traveled to a different city these past few days and even though his sleeping time was guaranteed, he didn’t sleep very deeply and felt groggy.

But even so, he was not willing to sleep, wanting to look at her a bit more.

In his dreams, Lu Weixi seemed to be sleeping a bit restlessly as well, occasionally making a whimpering noise, gradually curling up her body.

He didn’t want to hold her too tight, so he thought for a moment and moved towards her other side, facing her. His fingers lightly brushed against her hair, her cheek, then he sighed softly and tenderly: “Xixi…”

Xixi, Xixi…

Lu Weixi was a light sleeper. In her dream, she seemed to have arrived in a dark wilderness surrounded by a thin fog. She could neither see clearly nor feel anything.

In her confusion, she heard a man calling her “Xixi”.

His voice was gentle and affectionate.

This dream seemed familiar, as if she had had it recently.

Sure enough, in the darkness, kindly father and healthy warm mother appeared, waving at her. She glanced at them and saw Bai Changyou, who was still young, before she reached the age of ten when there was no Mrs. Cai nor Cai Yiren. Moving her short legs, she quickly ran over. Then she heard a quarrel from the mist, the sound of bowls and cups being shattered. Her father’s face had suddenly contorted in rage, mother was crying and arguing.

In an instant, she grew up, standing next to her mother, only to see her father’s face becoming more and more ferocious.

After the images of her parents had vanished, the surroundings grew dark and silent. In this darkness, a man appeared, reaching out as if wanting to pull her out of the darkness.

His palm was warm and slightly rough with thin calluses. The touch in her hand felt strangely familiar. It was clearly Qin Zhiyou.

Lu Weixi was stunned. This was her dream, how did Qin Zhiyou find his way into it?

While Lu Weixi was still dreaming, the time for Qin Zhiyou’s departure was also nearing. Despite feeling reluctant, he knew he was simply taking an early shift and would be back in the evening, so he didn’t feel too upset.

Quietly he got up, since her sleep was shallow, he didn’t dare to turn on the light and change his clothes. So he returned to his side of the bed to get dressed, and suddenly heard a soft hum from Lu Weixi. Turning around, he saw her frowning in apparent pain, as if she was being tormented by a nightmare.

Qin Zhiyou quickly turned back, gently grasping her seemingly struggling hand, his voice gentle: “Don’t be afraid, Xixi, don’t be afraid.”

In her dream, Lu Weixi, seemed to calm down a little hearing this, though her brows were still furrowed with worry. Qin Zhiyou looked at her, slowly bending down, wanting to smooth out her furrowed brows.

Just then, Lu Weixi suddenly woke up, only to see Qin Zhiyou leaning closer to her, worry written all over his face..
