Chapter 412 - 413: Kneeling in Penalty (1)
It would be better to take a step back, make it clear that there will be no more women around him and reveal that he has feelings for her in order to gain her favor.
Lu Weixi was startled, indeed not too disturbed by the phrase “you are in my heart”. What really affected her was his previous promise, “never let such a thing happen”.
What does this mean? It means, he would choose somebody who is really low- profile when choosing a woman in the future. Or is it… he would not have any other women?
Although she was still very angry and disgusted, and didn’t want him to hold her, even less wanting to be close with him, she jealously admitted that after hearing this part, she still hadn’t fully forgiven him, but it did make her heart slightly at ease.
The two were silent for a moment, the tense atmosphere between them slightly eased. Qin Zhiyou hesitated for a moment, and decided to strike while the iron was hot.
Even though she might not believe it if he made heartfelt confession right now, he still wanted to push it a little further, “Weixi, you are in my heart…”
Before he could finish speaking, there was a “knock-knock-knock” at the door. Qin Zhiyou frowned, he hadn’t finished speaking!
He didn’t respond, but the knocking was getting louder. Qin Zhiyou was annoyed, not even turning his head and said: “Wait a minute!”
“Come out.” From the door, came the vigorous, solemn, and serious voice of Grandfather Qin.
In the Qin Family hall, Qin Zhiyou was kneeling on the ground, still wearing that dirty pajamas. Mud and wounds on his face, looking rather disheveled.
Next to him was Qin Zhigu, who had changed his clothes. His face and body had also been cleaned, but he was more injured than Qin Zhiyou. Both of them weren’t in a better state than the other.
There was a crowd surrounding Qin Zhigu, needless to say Kong Jie. Qin Weijian also took much care for his son. Qin Weijia and his family of course lined up with them.
As for Qin Zhiyou, Yang Mogui run off after the banquet and it was unknown where he’d went to enjoy himself. Only Lu Weixi was left, as her feelings have just stabilized, but still unstable.
The two brothers were kneeling in front of old master Qin.
The old master’s face was sullen, and he had his walking stick in hand. He stood in front of the two brothers, gazing at them in silence, then made his way behind them, raising his walking stick and beating down on the two of them effortlessly.
The cane was made of red sandalwood, and although the old man was elderly and not as strong, he put some force into it. After a few hits, Qin Zhiyou was fine, being thick-skinned. While Qin Zhigu was badly hurt and almost collapsed to the ground from the beating.
“Good, very good. They’ve reached middle age and yet they’re fighting!” The old master knew, Qin Weizang was a child of his legitimate wife and his stepmother after his first wife passed away, Qin Weijian and Qin Weijia, his half-siblings, naturally had some distance. In the past, they had their own fights which he always turned a blind eye to. But bringing fights to him was not allowed.
Qin Zhiyou was beaten without making a sound, and so did Qin Zhigu. It hurt even more for Kong Jie who watched on the side, “Dad, it was Qin Zhiyou who started the move! He pushed our Zhigu to the ground and hit him, it’s just too much!”
