Chapter 89: First Time at Senior Sister’s Home
Jiang Miao looked a bit helpless and apologized, “We left at half past nine. My bad, I didn’t keep track of time.”
“It’s not a big deal.”
“But the dorms are locked now.” He looked troubled. “What should we do? Should we find a hotel nearby?”
“No need.”
“Huh?” Jiang Miao was taken aback, not understanding what Senior Sister meant.
“Just keep driving. I’ll show you the way.” Su Huaizhou, still sitting in the back seat, patted the front seat, signaling for him to continue.
He sat back in the front seat, half-doubtful.
Meanwhile, Su Huaizhou raised one of her long legs over the seat beneath her, changing her position from sitting sideways to sitting astride so she could see forward. “Let’s go.”Jiang Miao started the scooter, continued towards the intersection in front, and asked, “Senior Sister, where are we going?”
“Turn right at the intersection,” Su Huaizhou said as she wrapped her arms around Jiang Miao’s waist again without further explanation.
This time, she hugged his waist from the front, intertwining her fingers tightly on his stomach, and her upper body leaned against his lower back.
She had learned her lesson and placed her hands a bit higher on his stomach to avoid accidentally touching that scary thing again.
With this, the two towering mountains pressed forward, instantly making Jiang Miao straighten his back and sit up straight like a statue.
When they approached the intersection, he was still distracted and instinctively began to turn left towards the school.
“Turn right. Don’t get it wrong,” Su Huaizhou reminded.
“Oh…” Jiang Miao returned to his senses and turned the scooter right at the intersection.
The cool night breeze brushed against his face, while Su Huaizhou, leaning behind him, felt calmness. It was as if Junior Brother was blocking everything in front.
She let go with one hand, reached behind her head, and untied her hair tie.
She released her high ponytail, letting her long, beautiful black hair cascade down like a waterfall. The night wind caught it, turning it into a fleeting shadow behind the scooter.
As Su Huaizhou scratched her head, she recalled Junior Brother’s warning about hair loss and stopped. She felt a little annoyed and bumped her head against his lower back.
To Jiang Miao, however, the impact felt light and harmless.
In fact, due to the momentum from the bump, Senior Sister’s chest was also pressed up.
This caused more damage to him.
“Senior Sister, stop messing around…” Jiang Miao said with difficulty and changed the subject. “Where are we going now? Keep going straight?”
“Yeah, go straight.” Su Huaizhou’s face was slightly red. Since he could feel it, of course she could, and her chest felt a bit tingly. “Go past one more intersection and keep going straight until about halfway down the block.”
Following Senior Sister’s directions, Jiang Miao drove past a traffic light and then stopped in the middle of the next block.
He initially thought they were going to some kind of student hostel nearby specifically catering to college students.
But upon arriving, he was stunned to find that they were in front of the gate of a small residential community. It was neither a student hostel nor the hotel he had mentioned earlier.
“Drive in.” Su Huaizhou pointed at the entrance of the community. “Turn right after you go through the gate.”
By this point, Jiang Miao already had a vague idea, but he didn’t ask. He simply followed Senior Sister’s directions, drove into the community, and turned right.
“Turn left at the roundabout near the flowerbed.” Su Huaizhou guided him with familiarity, clearly familiar with the area.
About a minute later, Jiang Miao stopped the scooter in front of the entrance of Building 3, Unit 1.
Across from the entrance was a parking shed for electric vehicles.
Su Huaizhou parked the scooter inside the shed, plugged it in to charge and then led Jiang Miao to Unit 1. She scanned her face at the door, and the door downstairs opened automatically.
“… Senior Sister, where is this?” Even though he already had an answer in mind, he still asked.
“My home,” Su Huaizhou replied matter-of-factly.
Jiang Miao immediately hesitated and stopped in his tracks. “Senior Sister, isn’t this inappropriate? Why don’t I find a place to stay outside for the night?”
“What’s inappropriate about it? You’re just staying at my home for a night.”
“But won’t I disturb your parents?” He felt incredibly nervous at the thought of seeing Senior Sister’s parents at this late hour.
After all, staying out with someone’s daughter until past eleven o’clock at night and then following her back home—no matter how he thought about it, he didn’t look like a decent man.
First impressions were crucial, and Jiang Miao didn’t want to ruin his.
He’d rather find somewhere to stay the night than risk leaving a bad first impression on his future father and mother-in-law.
Wouldn’t messing that up make it harder to marry Senior Sister?
“You’re overthinking it.” Su Huaizhou giggled. She pulled his hand, and led him to the elevator. “The condo here is mine. My parents don’t live here.”
“Huh?” Jiang Miao was stunned.
At this moment, the elevator door opened, and Senior Sister dragged in the dazed Jiang Miao.
The elevator rose to the tenth floor.
After hearing that Senior Sister’s parents weren’t here, Jiang Miao tacitly agreed to stay over and didn’t bring up finding a place to stay anymore. He silently followed her out of the elevator and stopped at the door of Room 1001.
Su Huaizhou took out her keys, unlocked the door, and stepped inside. She flicked on the lights, brightening up the previously dark living room.
“Here, wear these.” She pulled out a pair of dark blue slippers clearly meant for men from the shoe cabinet and placed them at his feet. “This pair is slightly bigger, but it should still fit, right?”
“Yeah.” Jiang Miao nodded as he took off his shoes and put on the slippers. His eyes swept across the living room from time to time, feeling both curious and intrigued.
Su Huaizhou noticed his curious glances. After changing into her slippers, she smiled, grabbed his hand, and pulled him along to give him a quick tour.
The condo was small, probably about 70 to 80 square meters.
Upon entering, there was a small kitchen on the right and a compact bathroom on the left. Together, they only took up about 10 square meters.
The living room was about 20 square meters, with a small couch and a round coffee table. Under the glass surface of the table were all kinds of neatly arranged books.
On the right side of the living room were two rooms.
One was the master bedroom, where a double bed occupied most of the space, with just enough room for a small desk in the corner.
By the window was a long counter with a yoga mat on it, looking like it was used for exercise.
The room opposite the master bedroom was a smaller guest room. The free space was mainly used for storage and hanging clothes, and there was a single bed by the window.
After walking around, Jiang Miao could see that the condo was very clean, but upon closer look, there weren’t many traces of it being used.
It seemed like Senior Sister didn’t come here often.
“I lived here during high school. One of the reasons why I chose the School of Business was that it’s closest to here.” Su Huaizhou filled a kettle with water and turned it on to boil. “But I haven’t stayed here since starting college. I mainly live in the dorm.
“During summer vacation, I went back to my hometown. I only come here occasionally on weekends.”
Jiang Miao nodded. Being at her place, he still felt a bit uneasy. He sat on the sofa and looked around, rubbing his hands from time to time to relieve his nerves.
At first, he thought it was a relief that Senior Sister’s parents weren’t around.
But now, it dawned on him that this meant he and Senior Sister would be alone here together.
This was even more exaggerated than being in the dorm room…
At least in the dorm room, there were three roommates around, so they didn’t dare to make too much noise.
But now, it was just the two of them here. As long as the soundproofing was decent, whatever they did wouldn’t be discovered…
Bah! What am I thinking?
I’m just staying at Senior Sister’s place for a night. What else could possibly happen?
Jiang Miao scolded himself in his head.
“Here, it’s still hot. Let it cool for a bit.” Su Huaizhou poured a glass of hot water and placed it on the coffee table. Then she pulled out a cushion from under the coffee table and plopped down. “How is it? This place isn’t bad, right?”
“Yeah, it’s pretty nice.”
“Okay, you can sleep in the guest room later.” She pointed at the room opposite the master bedroom. “There’s a computer on the desk inside if you want to write.”
Hearing this, Jiang Miao laughed. “Senior Sister, are you locking me in a small dark room?”
“Hmph~” Su Huaizhou wrinkled her nose and threatened playfully, “If someone doesn’t write seriously, then it will be a small dark room.”
The two of them sat by the coffee table, chatting away.
Although they had talked about the same topics on the scooter earlier, after shouting and releasing his emotions by the river, Jiang Miao was noticeably less anxious.
By the time the hot water on the coffee table had cooled and he finished it, it was already close to midnight.
“Senior Sister, can I check out the computer?” Jiang Miao asked. “I should start writing. I need to hit at least three thousand words before it goes premium tomorrow.”
“Sure. I can’t wait for you to write.” Su Huaizhou got up from the cushion, waved him over, and walked into the guest room.
Inside the room, on the left of the door was a double-doored wardrobe, and in the corner next to it was a small desk with a computer on it.
“I don’t have any writing software installed on it. You’ll have to download one yourself.”
“Mm.” Jiang Miao sat down, turned on the computer, and quickly found the download link of his writing software online, finishing it in less than a minute.
“Good luck then. I’m going to clean up the place a bit.”
“Okay.” Jiang Miao nodded. After seeing Senior Sister walk out of the room, he pushed aside the distracting thoughts in his mind and tried his best to get into the right mindset.
Although the temptation of being alone with her was undeniably great, the most pressing matter now was his novel going premium.
He didn’t know if it was because Senior Sister’s emotional release method was really useful, but in just half an hour, he wrote 1,500 words.
Ten minutes later, he added another 750 words.
Combined with the 750 words he had forced out earlier, he had finished the usual 3,000 words for tomorrow’s releases.
Just as Jiang Miao was preparing to keep the momentum going and write a bit more, Senior Sister’s voice came from outside the door.
“Junior Brother, I’ll take a shower first.”
Jiang Miao: “!”
Of course, it was normal to shower before bed.
But with just the two of them in the condo, the word ‘shower’ carried a different tone in this atmosphere.
Even though Senior Sister had probably just entered the bathroom, Jiang Miao seemed to hear the sound of water gently splashing in his mind.
He had even subconsciously constructed a 3D image through the imagined sounds, forming Senior Sister’s figure covered in water in his mind.
Bah!
Bah! Bah! Bah!
What am I thinking?!
Jiang Miao covered his face with a sigh as his focused writing state evaporated just like that.
Without the mood to write, he simply stood up.
But he couldn’t bring himself to leave the room and go to the living room.
After all, there would be the suspicion of eavesdropping on her showering.
Even though he probably wouldn’t be able to hear anything, Jiang Miao, who had just mentally committed a crime, still felt a bit guilty. So he only got up and walked around the small guest room.
The guest room wasn’t large. Other than a single bed, a wardrobe, and a small desk, there was only a small space for miscellaneous items. A small bookshelf hung on the wall.
There wasn’t much to look at, so Jiang Miao walked to the bookshelf and took a few casual glances.
That was when he noticed a few framed drawings on the bookshelf.
The drawings were all of anime girls. The style was very immature, and the lines looked rough and not particularly well done.
Jiang Miao only took a few glances before looking away.
But after looking away, he felt an inexplicable sense of déjà vu, compelling him to look back and take another glance.
Even though the drawings weren’t very good, they gave Jiang Miao a strange sense of familiarity, leaving him puzzled.
I’ve seen all kinds of lewd pictures, so when did I become interested in this kind of crude artwork?
But then again, this is Senior Sister’s home.
Her parents don’t live here.
So, could these drawings have been done by her?
Liking to draw wasn’t anything unusual.
In particular, the drawing skills were far from impressive and only at the amateur level, so Jiang Miao didn’t dwell on it.
He just assumed they were some childhood drawings Senior Sister had done.
After pacing around for a bit more, he opened the window to take a breath of fresh air before sitting back down and going over his outline again.
It was almost 1:30 a.m. when he heard footsteps outside the door.
The next second, the door of the guest room opened.
Su Huaizhou stood at the doorway, wearing a white bathrobe with her long black hair wrapped in a white towel.
She poked her head in. Her skin was rosy, and her body still seemed to radiate warmth from her shower. She looked like a perfectly peeled, soft-boiled egg. Her cheeks were smooth and glistening, tempting anyone to reach out and touch her.
“Junior Brother, I’m done showering.”
“Uh…”
“Why don’t you take one too?” Su Huaizhou tilted her head, her rosy cheeks adding to her charm. “I’ve prepared everything for you.”
“… Okay.” Jiang Miao got up and followed Senior Sister out of the guest room to the bathroom.
