Deviant: No Longer Human

Chapter 532: Caught!

Wang Xueying stood in the middle, her wrists bound as two burly guards tightened their grip on her arms.

Across the room, Foreign Minister Gao Liang\'s face was red with fury, his hands clenched as he paced back and forth like a predator ready to strike.

"Who the hell let her into the north wing?!" Gao Liang\'s voice boomed through the room, "This is a high-level meeting with Federation dignitaries, and you imbeciles let her—" he jabbed a finger in Wang Xueying\'s direction, "—wander into one of the most sensitive areas of this goddamn building! How incompetent can you be?!"

Wang Xueying smiled awkwardly, trying to maintain her composure despite the growing pit of fear in her stomach.

She could feel the eyes of everyone in the room on her, and every second of silence was like a dagger pressing into her chest.

\'How did this escalate so quickly? And why is this idiot speaking so loudly?\'

Gao Liang\'s eyes narrowed as he sized her up. "Just because she looks like a damn flower doesn\'t mean she can\'t have thorns," he spat. "I don\'t care how sweet or innocent she looks—take her for interrogation. For all we know, she could be a spy, snooping around where she doesn\'t belong."

"..."

Wang Xueying\'s smile disappeared instantly, replaced by a wide-eyed look of shock. "I\'m not a spy." she exclaimed, her voice rising with panic as the guards pulled her towards the door.

She struggled to find the right words, her expression conflicted. "I\'m Wang Xueying! A researcher at CASR, My teacher is Isabelle Mercer! I wasn\'t spying—I was just exploring, I swear!"

Gao Liang\'s face twisted into a sneer. "Isabelle Mercer?" he repeated with venom. "So you admit you\'re in cahoots with a foreigner! You\'ve probably been collecting information to hand over to her, haven\'t you? Thought you could sneak in here and play us for fools? What are you—a little diplomat, huh?

Or maybe you\'re just good at making eyes at people and hoping they don\'t notice what you\'re really up to?"

Wang Xueying was stunned, speechless.

She had no idea how things had gone so wrong, so fast. \'Is this pig serious?\' She couldn\'t believe what she was hearing. "No! That\'s not—"

"Shut up!" Gao Liang barked. "Take her out of here. Lock her up in the holding room. We\'ll figure out what the hell she\'s really doing here. She\'s got foreign connections—she\'s a threat." His voice was cold, dripping with disdain.

As the guards tightened their grip, Wang Xueying\'s heart skipped a beat in panic.

\'A threat?\' She could barely process what was happening. "Wait! No, I\'m not—" But her protests were ignored as she was dragged toward the door.

Just then, the heavy door swung open, and the room filled with a sudden fragnant air.

In stepped Liu Yanmei, the Deputy Foreign Minister, her curvaceous sexy figure fitted by a dress that hugged her body like a silken river. Her steps were slow, deliberate, and every head in the room turned toward her. Her dark hair flowed down her back, and her eyes, sharp as a blade, scanned the room with practiced calm.

"Minister Gao," she said, her juicy crimson lips moving, her voice low and smooth, dispite the tense situation, "What is happening here? Why are we making so much noise?"

Her hips swayed subtly as she moved toward the center of the room, the soft rustle of her dress filling the silence.

Gao Liang\'s scowl deepened as he turned to face her. "Yanmei, this isn\'t the time to ask questions. This girl was found trespassing in the north wing! We\'re in the middle of a highly classified meeting with Federation dignitaries, and she—" he pointed at Wang Xueying again, "—was snooping around, sticking her nose where it doesn\'t belong!"

Liu Yanmei\'s lips curved slightly, though the calm in her eyes didn\'t waver. "Minister Gao, I understand your concern. But surely this is a misunderstanding. She doesn\'t look like a threat."

Gao Liang let out a harsh laugh, his eyes narrowing with disdain. "You think I\'m a fool, Yanmei? Just because she looks harmless doesn\'t mean she\'s innocent. You want to take the risk of trusting her? Today of all days?"

Liu Yanmei\'s gaze flicked to Wang Xueying, who still wore a stunned expression, her hands bound.

There was something in her eyes—fear, yes—but also an innocence that seemed genuine. "Minister Gao," Yanmei began, her voice soft but firm, "there\'s no need to jump to conclusions. We can question her, yes, but perhaps we don\'t need to treat her like a criminal just yet."

Gao Liang\'s fists clenched as he glared at her. "And what if she is a criminal, Yanmei? Can you afford to take that risk if things go south? If something goes wrong because of your soft heart?" His words were sharp, biting through the tension like a whip. "Do you really want to stake your reputation on that gamble?"

Liu Yanmei\'s expression remained composed, but her lips pressed together tightly.

She sighed, "I\'m not asking for leniency, Minister. I\'m asking for caution. We interrogate her properly, but we do it without causing unnecessary damage."

Wang Xueying, still reeling from the accusations, finally found her voice again. "Please, I\'m not here to cause trouble. I really didn\'t know this was a restricted area. I-I just got lost, I swear!" She looked to Liu Yanmei, hoping for even a sliver of understanding.

The atmosphere in the room was almost too suffocating.

Liu Yanmei\'s sharp eyes softened slightly, but her mind sighed in defeat.

Got lost? How could she have gotten lost and ended up here? It didn\'t make sense.

Wang Xueying could have claimed curiosity, but lost? No way.

Minister Gao snorted, his patience having reached its limit. "You idiots just get soft whenever a pretty face walks into the room!" His voice was drenched in contempt, his lips curling into a sneer. "Let me teach this rat a lesson."

Liu Yanmei frowned deeply, her body tensing as she met his gaze. "Minister, mind your language—!"

Gao\'s eyes flickered with something dark and ugly, though he quickly swallowed his words under her glare.

He didn\'t fear Liu Yanmei; to him, she was just another woman. He could have easily had her in his bed—those wide, luscious lips, and her massive breasts practically bursting through her blouse.

The mere thought made his dick twitch.

But he knew better than to touch her. She belonged to someone powerful, someone who would chop his dick off the moment he even tried.

That reality made his frustration boil over, twisting his thoughts into something vile.

"Let\'s make your face as pretty as a flower," he snarled, stepping toward Wang Xueying, "and teach you a real lesson."

"Huh?"

"!"

Suddenly, the air turned deathly cold, as if the room itself was holding its breath in fear.

"Who?"

Gao felt a chill race down his spine, freezing him in place. Something ominous loomed behind him, but before he could even process it—

BAM!
