Deviant: No Longer Human

Chapter 588: Meeting Qian Ruixin and Loli Ling!

"Hey, Xiao Wang," Xin Meifang greeted him warmly, her red-painted lips curling into a knowing smile. The mature aura she carried in her black cheongsam made her stand out even among the crowd of elites. She stopped in front of him, reaching out to place a hand lightly on his shoulder. "It\'s a suprise to see you here, how been has it been? I\'ve heard about your recovery. Congratulations, nephew."

Wang Xiao, slightly suprised , nodded politely, masking his wariness. "Thank you, Aunt Meifang. I appreciate it."

Xin Meifang\'s eyes sparkled with amusement as she studied him. "You should come by our house sometime," she said, her tone casual but with an hint of insistence. "We\'ve missed you. Ruixin especially. She\'s been wondering when you\'d visit." She paused, her voice dropping slightly. "You know, after your long… absence."

Wang Xiao\'s eyes narrowed slightly, but he said nothing, maintaining his polite demeanor.

She continued without waiting for a reply, glancing upstairs. "Speaking of Rui, she\'s still upstairs getting ready. Can you go call her for me? The show is set to start at 9 o\'clock, and your cousin tends to take her time with these things."

Wang Xiao gave a curt nod. "Of course," he said, his tone neutral.

Xin Meifang\'s smile widened, pleased with his compliance. "Thank you, Xiao Wang. Tell her to hurry, would you? This event won\'t wait for her." She gave his shoulder a final, lingering pat before turning to glide back into the crowd.

Wang Xiao watched his aunt leave, his smile quickly fading. Something felt wrong. Xin Meifang had never dressed so provocatively before, and she certainly hadn\'t carried herself with that level of refinement in the past. Back then, she was crude, direct—almost brash. But now? She seemed like a completely different person.

His instincts kicked in as he quickly checked for any signs of possession—Skinwalkers, hell spirits, anything. But there was nothing. Still, what he found instead piqued his interest.

Today\'s turning out to be more fruitful than expected, he thought with a grin before heading upstairs to check on Qian Ruixin.

Click!

Wang Xiao opened the door, and the instant he stepped inside, a wave of intoxicating feminine fragrance hit him, filling the air with a heady mix of floral and sweetness. The sight in front of him was even more enticing.

"Who?" came a confused voice.

"Hm?"

Sitting in front of a large vanity mirror was a woman dressed in a loose, flowing Hanfu, the sleeves hanging off her delicate shoulders. The sight of her bare skin, framed by the elegant fabric, made her look both ethereal and innocent—like a dream from another time.

But what drew Wang Xiao\'s attention even more was the small figure standing behind Ruixin. A girl, no more than waist-high compared to the woman, wearing a white gown that emphasized her petite frame. Despite her short stature, her ample bossom defied all logic, the fabric of her dress struggling to contain those softness inside.

A hairpin dangled between her cute lips as she turned to face him with wide, confused eyes.

Whoosh!

Without warning, Wang Xiao lunged forward, grabbing the startled Lingling.

"Eh?!"

Before she could react, he threw himself and her onto the bed with a playful laugh. The impact made a satisfying thump as they landed, Lingling sprawled beneath him, her face a mixture of bewilderment and shock.

"W-Wh!" Lingling squeaked, her voice cracking as she tried to wriggle free. "What are you doing?!

Wang Xiao, grinning from ear to ear, rubbed his cheek against Lingling\'s flushed face. "Hey, Rui," he called out casually, still holding Lingling pinned beneath him, "can I take this one with me? She\'s kinda cute."

Lingling\'s face turned beet red. "Y-You... scoundrel!" she protested, her tiny arms pushing against his chest with all her might. "G-Get off me, you pervert!"

Qian Ruixin, having turned to see what the commotion was about, blinked in disbelief. For a moment, she didn\'t know whether to laugh or cry at the sight of her best friend being practically squeezed to death by her cousin.

Lingling, known for her loli-like appearance, looked even more helpless under Wang Xiao\'s abrupt assault.

Qian Ruixin was also surprised at Wang Xiao\'s actions—this wasn\'t how she remembered him at all. She couldn\'t help but smile wryly.

"Rui! Stop staring and help me get this pervert off!" Lingling cried out dramatically, as though she were struggling for her life.

Wang Xiao grinned mischievously. "Not today..." Before Lingling could react, he buried his face between her ample breasts, taking an exaggerated breath. Lingling\'s face turned a deep shade of red, like a ripe tomato.

"A-Ah... My innocence... It\'s ruined!" Lingling\'s eyes widened in exaggerated despair, tears welling up as she gasped. "I\'ll never find a partner now…"

Qian Ruixin, recognizing her best friend\'s over-the-top performance, sighed and played along. "Don\'t you already have one?" She pointed to Wang Xiao with a teasing smile.

"!"

Lingling was stunned, her face going blank at Ruixin\'s comment. But before she could react, Wang Xiao sneakily pinched her bottom, causing her to yelp.

"Ah!?"

This time, there was no playing around. Lingling pushed him away with all her strength, staring at him with wide, aggrieved eyes, while Qian Ruixin tilted her head, pretending to be confused. "What just happened here?"

A few minutes later, the chaotic energy in the room had finally simmered down.

Lingling, still flushed and fuming, had taken refuge in Qian Ruixin\'s arms, her small frame trembling with indignation as she glared at Wang Xiao from across the room.

"H-He\'s a scoundrel, Rui!" Lingling muttered, her face buried in Ruixin\'s chest, her voice muffled but filled with frustration. "Your cousin is the worst! A shameless beast!"

Qian Ruixin, gently stroking Lingling\'s hair, fought back a smile as she looked over at Wang Xiao, who was now sitting leisurely on the bed, his smug grin still in place. "Come now, Lingling," Ruixin said, her voice teasing. "He\'s not that bad... well, maybe just a little."

Lingling looked up at her, eyes wide in disbelief. "A little?! He buried his face in my—" She couldn\'t finish the sentence, her face turning red all over again as she remembered it.

Qian Ruixin chuckled softly. "It\'s just his way of saying hello, I suppose. Though he has gotten a bit... bolder." Her gaze shifted to Wang Xiao, a hint of curiosity flashing in her eyes. "Speaking of which... when did you get here, Xiao Wang?"

Wang Xiao shrugged, lounging back against the pillows. "Just recently. Thought I\'d surprise you," he replied causally.

Qian Ruixin\'s nodded faintly, but she didn\'t press him further. There were things she wanted to ask—about his long disappearance, the gap in her memories of him—but those were dark topics, things best left untouched, at least for now.

She didn\'t need the mood to shift in that direction.

Lingling, still flustered and feeling utterly betrayed, pouted as she hugged tighter to Ruixin. Her best friend was clearly siding with this scoundrel, and it only made her angrier.

"Humph! You two talk," she said sharply, pulling away from Ruixin\'s embrace. "I\'m leaving. I\'ll go check on my mom." She threw a final, irritated glance at Wang Xiao, her lips bitten in a way that looked both aggrieved and... something else, something low-key and almost meaningful.

Wang Xiao raised an eyebrow, watching as she hurried past the room, the door closing behind her with a soft click. He sighed, leaning back against the bed with a smirk playing on his lips. This little girl, trapped in a woman\'s body... She seemed both flustered and charmed, clearly torn on how to respond.

\'She doesn\'t even realize it yet,\' he thought with amusement. Her awkward, aggrieved glances only made it more obvious.
