The Young Urban Doctor

Chapter 285: You are the Big Bad Wolf

After an unknown lapse of time, they were startled by several loud shouts from outside and reluctantly pulled apart.

“Let’s look at the photos,” seeing Luo Ziling still looking at her with a tender gaze, Yang Qingyin pinched him and said, “Always bullying me.”

“Then you bully me,” Luo Ziling chuckled and teased back, “I’ll let you do whatever.”

That comment earned him another pinch from Yang Qingyin.

After pinching Luo Ziling’s arm, she laughed smugly, “You said it yourself, let me bully you at will.”

Seeing Yang Qingyin’s sly grin, Luo Ziling could only laugh again, “Let’s look at the photos. There will be plenty of chances to bully me later.”

When it was time to look at the photos, Luo Ziling asked softly, “Will your roommate come back?”

“She definitely won’t come back tonight,” Yang Qingyin, thinking Luo Ziling had some special intentions, hurriedly said, “Hurry up and look at the photos, then I’ll show you how to use the computer so you can go back to sleep earlier.”

“Okay,” Luo Ziling didn’t refuse and obediently agreed.

After glancing over all the photos, Yang Qingyin downloaded them to her computer and created a dedicated folder in the F drive.

While naming the folder, Yang Qingyin asked Luo Ziling, “What should I use for the folder name?”

“The wolf and the sheep,” Luo Ziling remarked, then added proudly, “I overheard someone yelling ‘The wolf has fallen in love with the sheep’, isn’t there a song like that?”

Caught off guard by his words, Yang Qingyin’s face blushed slightly as she retorted, “You’re the big bad wolf.”

As she spoke, she quickly typed in the folder name with her slender fingers.

Luo Ziling burst into laughter upon seeing it.

“The Big Bad Wolf and Tibbie, haha,” Luo Ziling pinched Yang Qingyin’s delicate cheek, “You really see me as the big bad wolf, don’t you?”

“A big bad wolf that’s slightly handsome,” Yang Qingyin laughed cunningly, like a fox that accidentally snatched a hen.

“Alright,” Luo Ziling touched his own face, then teased Yang Qingyin again, “Tibbie is that animated sheep who thinks she’s super pretty, right?”

“Junior, you’re a bit annoying,” Yang Qingyin stretched out both hands, grabbed Luo Ziling’s ears, “Daring to mock me like that, do I seem like someone who’s always vain?”

“No,” Luo Ziling said seriously, “Definitely not all the time.”

“Still saying I like to be vain,” Yang Qingyin protested, tightening her grip on Luo Ziling’s ears slightly, “Tease me again, and I’ll turn you into the likeness of the Second Brother.”

Caught off guard, Luo Ziling kissed her again, which made her immediately let go, pouting and lightly punching him.

Being alone together felt too wonderful, and Yang Qingyin felt intoxicated by the experience.

The two horsed around for a bit before continuing to look at the photos.

After their playful banter, Yang Qingyin’s reserve was completely gone. She leaned naturally against Luo Ziling’s shoulder, cuddling up to him in an intimate posture as they looked at the photos together. She’d never dreamed that they could get along like this in her own dorm room.

After they finished looking at the photos, Yang Qingyin taught Luo Ziling how to use the computer.

To her surprise, Luo Ziling was truly computer-illiterate, not even clear on how to power it on or off, which left her somewhat speechless.

But she still patiently taught him the basics of computer use, how to turn it on and off, how to open and create documents, and how to go online, among other things. Luo Ziling was quite quick-witted; he got the gist of it after watching just once.

In fact, he had gathered a bit of understanding when watching Cao Jianhui operate the computer back in the dorm. Moreover, it was Yang Qingyin teaching him, so he was particularly attentive.

“In a couple of days, I’ll bring you a laptop,” Yang Qingyin said, feeling her comment a bit abrupt, so she quickly added, “That way, you have somewhere to keep your photos. You’ll still need to take a lot more in the future.”

Seeing Luo Ziling hesitate, she said emphatically, “Don’t refuse, or I’ll be angry.”

“Okay, okay,” Luo Ziling immediately agreed, “but you have to teach me how to use it, keep teaching me.”

Seeing Luo Ziling speak with a sly expression, how could Yang Qingyin not know his thoughts? She wanted to spend more time with him too and agreed without hesitation, “Of course, no problem.”

Glancing at the time and realizing it was almost ten in the evening, Luo Ziling thought Yang Qingyin needed to sleep, so he got up, preparing to leave.

As he stood up, he thought of something and decided to tell Yang Qingyin, “I went to see my mom again today.”

“Oh?!” Yang Qingyin’s eyes flickered oddly, “Does your mom want you to move in with her?”

“Probably not,” Luo Ziling shook his head, but then hesitated on how to explain the situation.

“Actually, I think it’s better if not everyone knows about your meetings with your mother,” after stating her opinion, Yang Qingyin quickly explained her reasoning, “Being high-profile about recognizing each other could provoke my grandfather and father more, as well as other members of the Ling Family. Their resentment and anger might intensify, leading them to retaliate more directly and swiftly. Of course, if you two recognize each other openly, you could get direct support from your mother, and those who wish you harm might think twice. But I still think it’s better to keep it subdued. That way, you can still get your mom’s support without provoking others.”

After a pause, she whispered softly, “You must know that many in the Ling Family are unhappy about your mother using so many resources, including your uncle. So, I believe you and your mom should keep a low profile. It’s best not to let others know you’ve recognized each other and continue to meet secretly if you wish to see each other again. Of course, this is just what I think.”

“Thank you for your advice,” Luo Ziling sincerely expressed his gratitude, then added, “My mom said the same thing. She also told me that Great Grandfather and my maternal grandfather aren’t opposed to me coming to Yanjing.”

“That’s good to hear,” Luo Ziling’s words also relieved Yang Qingyin, “If anything comes up, I’ll text you right away.”

“I hope the discord of the older generations can stop with them, and that we won’t be forced into anything, that would be best.” Luo Ziling sighed slightly as he said this.

Yang Qingyin sighed as well, bowing her head with a look of melancholy.

“Well, I should go,” Luo Ziling lifted Yang Qingyin’s face, kissed her again, and then prepared to leave.

Yang Qingyin wrapped her arms around Luo Ziling, smiled sweetly at him, pecked him on the lips, and then said, “I’ll check the corridor outside to see if anyone’s there.”

“Never mind, I’ll just go out the window. You say I’m a professional flower thief, Tian Boguang level, so it won’t be a problem for me.” Saying that, he leapt to the windowsill and waved at Yang Qingyin before quickly disappearing from sight.

Yang Qingyin, nervous, hurried to the window, but Luo Ziling had already vanished.
