Chapter 361: 361: Deep Affection and Sweetness
Compared to the bustling Summer Palace, the Old Summer Palace had slightly fewer visitors but was still bustling enough to be overwhelming.
It took a long time to queue for tickets, and once inside the garden, it was still crowded everywhere.
Luckily, Yang Qingyin was quite familiar with the Old Summer Palace and led Luo Ziling to the less crowded areas.
The two had spent quite some time together, so it was natural for them to hold hands while walking without any restraint.
“Senior, how did you spend Mid-Autumn Festival last night?” After some chitchat, Luo Ziling inquired about the previous evening. “Did you eat any mooncakes?”
“No, I don’t like mooncakes,” Yang Qingyin shook her head, “I had to go back for some reeducation, so it wasn’t an exciting Mid-Autumn Festival.”
Yang Qingyin did not want to talk about her family affairs from last night, instead, she asked about what Luo Ziling and Ling Ruonan talked about.
“Junior, you must have had a great time spending Mid-Autumn Festival with your mom, right? What did you guys talk about?” inquired Yang Qingyin with a hint of curiosity.
She wanted to know if Ling Ruonan and Luo Ziling had mentioned anything related to her last night.
“We talked about some things from the past and cried several times,” Luo Ziling said with a wry smile, “My mom also mentioned a lot of things I had never thought about before, and she talked about our hometown as well.”
“Isn’t your hometown in a small village in the Northwest?” Not wanting to upset Luo Ziling, Yang Qingyin refrained from asking about the potentially tear-jerking topics.
“No, that was probably where my grandfather and I stayed after leaving. My real hometown is in Yuezhou, Jiangnan Province, a very beautiful small city,” Luo Ziling sighed.
“Ah?! Lu Xun’s Hometown?” Yang Qingyin appeared very surprised, “You’re actually from the South?” But after a serious look, she burst into laughter, “You really do look like a Southerner, quite delicate and scholarly.”
Yang Qingyin complimented his delicate appearance, which pleased Luo Ziling, but when she teased him about looking like a bookworm, he grew annoyed, “You’re actually making fun of me.”
With that, he started to tickle her.
When Luo Ziling gave her a light pinch on the waist, Yang Qingyin couldn’t stand the tickling and her body curled up, collapsing into Luo Ziling’s embrace.
“Hateful Old Wolf, bullying me again,” Yang Qingyin blushed, raising her tiny fists to hit Luo Ziling, “always picking on me, always bullying little girls.”
“Why are there no surveillance cameras nearby?” Luo Ziling caught Yang Qingyin’s tiny fists, looked around with a gloomy face, and said, “Just now, a certain Little Lamb was bullying me. How did it become me bullying the Little Lamb? Without surveillance to prove my innocence, I’m like Dou E’s older brother!”
Seeing Luo Ziling’s exaggerated expression while he spoke, Yang Qingyin burst into giggles again, looking so beautiful that it dazzled him, and he actually stared blankly.
Yang Qingyin blushed when she saw Luo Ziling staring blankly at her, with such a close distance that she could clearly see her reflection in his eyes. She spit in annoyance and angrily said, “What’re you looking at? Is there anything nice to see? Keep looking, and I’ll gouge out those wolfish eyes of yours, filled with lust.”
“Then gouge them out,” Luo Ziling leaned his head closer, “where’s your hand? Let’s see how you gouge! Wake up, Little Lost Lamb, it’s broad daylight. Stop dreaming. Your hand is in the palm of my hand!”
Luo Ziling got closer, and as he grabbed her hand, Yang Qingyin couldn’t dodge and ended up breathing in the masculine scent off his body. She could even feel the warmth of his breath, which made her face turn red.
In a fit of embarrassed rage, she suddenly opened her mouth and bit Luo Ziling’s face, but after biting him, she swiftly turned the bite into a kiss, pecking his lips like a chicken pecking at grains, then struggled fiercely, “You annoying junior, let go, someone will see us!”
Seeing Yang Qingyin’s unbearable shyness, Luo Ziling stopped teasing her, released his grip on her little fist, and then teased her again, “So a certain little lamb can bite, are you a wolf in sheep’s clothing?”
His words earned him Yang Qingyin’s soul-chasing life-stealing pinch, which was so painful he couldn’t help but let out a miserable yelp.
Watching Luo Ziling deliberately making an exaggerated face of pain, Yang Qingyin couldn’t help but giggle.
“Let’s go, you big lamb in wolf’s skin,” Yang Qingyin took the initiative and hooked her arm through Luo Ziling’s, “It’s going to be dark soon.”
“Alright, let’s go,” Luo Ziling hastened his steps, dodging several curious onlookers, then pulled Yang Qingyin away to a spot with even fewer people. Seeing an empty bench under a willow tree, he immediately led her there to sit down. “Let’s rest for a while; our little lamb must be tired.”
“Not at all,” Yang Qingyin protested unconvincingly, “Don’t think of me as weak, I’ve been getting stronger gradually.”
“Strong?” Luo Ziling cast a disparaging look at Yang Qingyin’s slender figure and said with disdain, “If your tiny frame is strong, then…”
He couldn’t finish his sentence as he was cut off by a pinch from Yang Qingyin, which sent his words retreating in fear.
“Definitely going to bruise,” Luo Ziling rubbed the spot Yang Qingyin had pinched, “Is this your secret weapon?”
“Yes, Yang’s soul-chasing life-stealing pinch,” Yang Qingyin proudly raised her slender and beautiful fingers, laughing happily, “Want to taste it again?”
“Forget it, keep that to yourself,” Luo Ziling said, moving a bit further away from her.
Yang Qingyin immediately leaned in, continuing to wave her hand threateningly at Luo Ziling, “Don’t dodge.”
“I don’t take well to threats,” Luo Ziling dodged to the side again. “I respond to gentleness, not hardness; show me a softer approach and I’ll listen to you.”
Yang Qingyin leaned in closer again, her face turning a bit red as she struggled to suppress her laughter.
Luo Ziling dodged, Yang Qingyin pressed in closer.
Eventually, after a few aggressive moves, Yang Qingyin suddenly found the seat beneath her vanish, and she was lifted off the chair.
With a cry of alarm, her body started to fall, but she was quickly scooped up.
“Hahaha,” Luo Ziling, who had caught Yang Qingyin, couldn’t stop laughing, “That’s for bullying me.”
He stood firmly rooted, able to maintain his sitting posture even as his body left the chair. But Yang Qingyin wasn’t capable of that. She didn’t notice in her playfight with Luo Ziling that she had moved to the edge of the chair and ended up missing it altogether.
Of course, Luo Ziling wouldn’t let her fall, so he caught her right away.
Caught in Luo Ziling’s arms, Yang Qingyin became immediately furious and lashed out at him with punches and kicks, along with a few stealthy applications of her soul-chasing life-stealing pinch. However, none of those moves proved effective after being silenced by a very passionate kiss from Luo Ziling…
