The Young Urban Doctor

Chapter 370: I Didn’t Do It on Purpose

Back in the small mountain village, Luo Ziling had treated Lin Lan for several days, having seen her private parts.

Somehow, after starting school classes, he would occasionally dream about the treatment scenarios when asleep at night, naturally dreaming about her body. Today, he was going to treat her again, and it was in the private areas, Luo Ziling couldn’t help but feel a little excited.

But once Lin Lan took off her pants, he realized he had thought too much.

The wound on Lin Lan was just by the side of the buttocks, and there was no need to remove her underpants to treat it.

This left him feeling somewhat disappointed, but also greatly relieved.

At least, there was no need for any more awkwardness.

However, Lin Lan’s two beautiful legs still disturbed his peace of mind, so he quickly took a few deep breaths before he managed to calm himself down.

“Who is it, so depraved, to actually stab you here,” Luo Ziling complained bitterly after he approached Lin Lan and examined the wound in the light.

“This place is the least important to be stabbed,” Lin Lan said indifferently, “It’s just that you can only use half a butt cheek to exert force.”

“Alright, you’re very optimistic,” Luo Ziling had Lin Lan lie face down on the edge of the sofa, making it easier for him to deal with the wound.

Lin Lan didn’t refuse, obediently following Luo Ziling’s instructions to lie down.

But after she laid down, Luo Ziling felt very embarrassed because Lin Lan’s position was too suggestive.

Even though he was a young man with no experience in that area, improper thoughts would still arise.

In the end, he used several deep breaths to dispel the random thoughts in his mind, and proceeded to treat Lin Lan’s wound very seriously.

Lin Lan lay quietly, barely moving.

Lin Lan’s injury was not serious, and compared to the last time, it was negligible, which made Luo Ziling feel relieved.

Still, he handled it with great care, and applied a little more medicinal powder than the usual amount.

After treating the wound and applying the medicine, he then wrapped the injured area with a bandage for Lin Lan.

But while binding Lin Lan’s wound, an accident occurred, as Luo Ziling inadvertently touched a place he shouldn’t have.

Lin Lan, who had been motionless while treating the wound, trembled when touched, but immediately stopped moving, continuing to hold her original position.

Sweating from embarrassment, Luo Ziling hurriedly explained, “It wasn’t intentional.”

Lin Lan remained silent, not turning around.

Luo Ziling became even more careful, and there were no more accidents while bandaging Lin Lan afterwards.

Since Lin Lan requested not to use anesthesia, Luo Ziling followed her suggestion and treated her wound in this way.

After finishing with the wound, Luo Ziling was sweating all over, and Lin Lan was also covered in sweat.

“Lie down and rest for a while,” Luo Ziling supported Lin Lan’s body, helping her to lie down comfortably on the sofa.

Lin Lan didn’t refuse, compliantly lying down with his assistance on the couch.

Once lying down, she closed her eyes, as if she had fallen asleep.

Luo Ziling simply sat down on the floor and, looking at Lin Lan with her eyes tightly closed, he softly asked, “Do you have any other injuries?”

“Just some minor abrasions, I’ve treated them myself,” Lin Lan answered without opening her eyes, her voice soft.

“Are you very tired? Then go to sleep early,” seeing Lin Lan like this, Luo Ziling couldn’t help but feel a sense of pity.

Ever since he found out that Lin Lan was an orphan without a father or mother, he no longer had any prejudice against her, even if she was cold to him. Previously, he thought himself pitiful, but now he knew that Lin Lan was even more pathetic; at least his parents were alive, and there was a day when they would reunite.

At that moment, Lin Lan’s eyes fluttered open, and she quietly watched Luo Ziling for a while before closing them again.

After hesitating for a bit, Luo Ziling still decided to ask another question, “Have you finished your task?”

Lin Lan nodded gently.

Luo Ziling also breathed a sigh of relief. “I’m glad nothing serious happened, and you could come back safely. I’ve been worried about you these days!”

Hearing Luo Ziling’s words, Lin Lan opened her eyes again, her gaze no longer as cold as before, but now with a hint of warmth.

“Thank you,” she said softly.

It was unclear whether she was thanking him for the treatment just now or for his concern.

“Are you hungry? I’ll go buy some late-night snacks for you.” Luo Ziling said, and without waiting for Lin Lan to ask, he sprung up from the ground.

Seeing Luo Ziling preparing to leave, Lin Lan ultimately did not voice any objections.

As Luo Ziling took the elevator down, he heard the notification sound of WeChat on his phone and hurriedly checked it.

It was a message from Yang Qingyin.

She had already sent a message earlier, “Old Wolf, what are you doing?”

The message he just received was, “Did a certain Old Wolf fall asleep?” followed by several surprised emojis.

Luo Ziling replied quickly, “Reporting to Student Little Yang, Old Wolf hasn’t slept yet. Just finished treating a few people, and I’m dead tired. I’m going to buy some late-night snacks, need to fill my stomach first.”

“What happened?” The reply from Yang Qingyin came swiftly.

By this time, Luo Ziling had already stepped out of the elevator. He walked outside, took a photo of Lin Lan’s military Humvee, sent it to Yang Qingyin, and added another text message, “Treating them.”

“I understand, are you done with everything?”

“Almost done, I’ll head back to school in a bit. It’s getting late, Student Little Yang should be getting beauty sleep,” Luo Ziling added a couple of kissing emojis at the end.

Yang Qingyin replied with several facepalm emojis but soon followed up with a message, “Then you go ahead with your tasks, and also get some rest early yourself. Your own injuries haven’t fully healed yet, take good care. Good night!”

Yang Qingyin’s concern made Luo Ziling feel warm inside, and all his tiredness vanished.

Checking his phone, he saw there were several other messages, some from Ouyang Huihui and classmates from the dormitory, Ling Ruonan had also sent him a message.

He replied to Ling Ruonan, telling her he was fine and about to go to sleep, asking her not to worry.

He replied to Ouyang Huihui with a message too, telling her he was dead tired today and to not disturb his sleep.

Ling Ruonan responded quickly, telling Luo Ziling to go to sleep early and not to overexert himself.

Feeling his mother’s care every day, Luo Ziling felt even better and chose to ignore Ouyang Huihui’s complaints.

After buying a bunch of late-night snacks, Luo Ziling returned to the room to find that Lin Lan had actually fallen asleep.

However, the sound of the door opening startled Lin Lan awake, but upon seeing him, she closed her eyes again.

As Luo Ziling sat down beside her with a bag of delicious food and prepared to feed her, Lin Lan suddenly asked, “Who was the person who tried to assassinate you last time?”

“Huh, weren’t you on a mission? How did you know I was wounded in an assassination attempt?” Luo Ziling asked, surprised.

Lin Lan opened her eyes and looked at Luo Ziling as if he were an idiot.

“I don’t know,” Luo Ziling admitted, realizing he had indeed asked a foolish question, seeing that someone with Lin Lan’s status could easily find out about something like that.

“I will find out the truth for you,” Lin Lan said, reopening her eyes, which showed an unwavering determination.

Luo Ziling was moved.
