Chapter 68: Section 68 - Excellent Hypnotism Technique
Adults have profound thoughts and cluttered minds, inevitably guarded and cautious. Only through hypnotism can one strip away various distractions and falsehoods to ultimately reach the core of the heart.
In the Blue Star industry, a top-notch master of hypnotism known as "Big Devil," Li Bai was quite confident in his techniques. If one snap of the fingers couldn't hypnotize someone, then he'd use two snaps.
But the normally infallible hypnotism unexpectedly failed on this person, causing Li Bai astonishment and a bit of a hit to his confidence.
Unless the other person was a rock, a piece of wood, or steel, there should be some effect. And yet, even when he resorted to the trump card of using a hypnotic medium, there was still no reaction, not even a tiny bit.
This was utterly unscientific!
Don't ask if the hypnotism that was akin to sorcery was scientific, if you ask, it's science!
"Shall we try again?"
Chen Fei didn't mind.
He had never been hypnotized before and was somewhat curious about the experience.
"Then let's try it again!" .net
The psychological counselor Li Bai became serious with a stern expression.
He gestured to the lady in green behind him.
"You, come!"
His hypnotism was practiced and honed over time, primarily based on inducement.
The lady in green had an innate talent, needed no suggestions or hints, and took a more direct and brutal approach to breaking through defenses.
"Look into my eyes!"
The lady in green came before Chen Fei, leaning in to exhale a fragrance as sweet as orchids, her voice enchanting.
"..."
Chen Fei felt as if her pupils changed from black to gold, then became filled with cracks, each flickering with golden light.
The lady in green spoke softly, "What do you see?"
Her unusual eye color could pull one's mind into an endless illusion, sinking into a world of strange and unpredictable phenomena.
"Big... Na Zi!"
Chen Fei really didn't want to lie, because those two patches of white were nearly bumping against his face, definitely the type that Big Bear Chekhov would like.
No sooner had he spoken than an inexplicable chill ran through him, his body hair stood on end, and his muscles involuntarily tensed up.
He didn't know what had happened, but something felt off. He seemed to need to leave immediately or prepare for the worst, preferably with a gun in hand.
"Stop!"
The psychological counselor quickly pulled back the would-be furious lady in green, then shot Chen Fei an irritated glance for blabbing such embarrassingly honest nonsense.
The other girl taking notes covered her mouth, giggling, her focus clearly drifting.
Psychological counselor Li Bai waved his hand in front of Chen Fei and asked, "Chen Fei, you're not hypnotized, right?"
"Uh! I don't know!"
Chen Fei had never been hypnotized before and naturally didn't know what it felt like.
Maybe he was hypnotized, maybe not; he simply couldn't tell.
"You probably weren't, what did you see?"
Psychological counselor Li Bai observed Chen Fei's microexpressions and body language carefully.
His usually reliable hypnotism was of no use, but some little tricks were still applicable.
"Eyes, turned to gold, then cracked, and then…," Chen Fei hesitated, then honestly said, "Na Zi!"
The high beams were too blinding to not notice. Fellow drivers, please take note, do not use high beams when vehicles are approaching each other.
The lady in green got angry again, but the other girl promptly held her back. Resigned, the lady in green made a throat-slitting gesture toward Chen Fei, scaring the youngster into trembling. That dreadful feeling returned.
They had promised a trip to kindergarten, yet the destination turned out to be a direct high-speed drive to the crematorium.
"Alright, you can go now!"
Psychological Counselor Li Bai shook his head, even his own hypnotism and the green-dressed lady's Innate Talent had no effect, so if it were someone else, they probably wouldn't get any results either.
In some ways, this was actually a good thing.
If anyone tried to use mind-related methods on this young man, they were destined to come back empty-handed, incapable of extracting any valuable information. It would be more effective to use brutal and simplistic methods like severe torture or threatening associated individuals, which required no technical skill.
But to use such violent acts on a citizen from the strongest Sovereign nation in the world was akin to an old immortal eating arsenic—tired of living, so to speak.
The repercussions of such actions were too severe, even a regular Sovereign nation couldn't afford such a cost.
Chen Fei walked out in a cloud of confusion.
The young psychological counselor worried if he stayed any longer, he might start a fight right there with the lady in green.
LSP Chekhov, Recruit #75, saw Chen Fei come out with a bewildered expression and asked curiously, "Hey! Rookie, what did they ask you?"
Chen Fei sized up Big Bear and suddenly said, "They didn't ask anything. Squadron leader, how high is your personal insurance coverage?"
"The maximum amount is 50 million Star Yuan, what's wrong?"
This time it was Chekhov who was bewildered.
"Oh! That'll be enough!"
Chen Fei nodded his head, then turned on his heel and walked away.
With the compensation amount of 50 million Star Yuan, no worries!
"???"
Chekhov Big Bear was even more puzzled.
He scratched the back of his head, watching the retreating figure of Chen Fei, what did that mean?
...
Five minutes later, the squadron leader of the "Genuine Fragrance" Combat Flight Squadron at Aircrew Base 911, Major Chekhov Leonidovich Ivanov, stripped while sprinting, and in the end, wearing only his tiny briefs, ran onto the main runway, wiggling his waist and shaking his butt, performing his signature Bear Dance, all while loudly chanting to the rhythm.
"Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum! Dum Dum..."
It had to be "Swan Lake", no, rather, it should be "Bear Lake"!
Everyone at the Aircrew Base was stunned.
"As expected!"
Chen Fei, who was also surprised by the commotion, could hardly bear to watch that agile figure with a tiger's back and bear's waist on the main runway.
A proper public display of social death!
And the situation was quickly becoming uncontrollable.
As a member of the "Genuine Fragrance" squadron, what else could he do but silently pull out his second-hand old phone, switch to video recording mode...
"Flowers worthy to be picked should be picked, don't wait until they're gone only to pick empty branches."
"Advise you not to cherish your golden-threaded robe, advise you to cherish your youth instead."
"Has he gone mad?"
Even the always expressionless mechanic chief, Xiao Ming, couldn't help but gape in astonishment.
"Pretty much, and about to go over the edge!"
Chen Fei muttered to himself after recording for a good while.
He was beginning to understand why the two female pilots in the "Genuine Fragrance" squadron were both Type A—it spelled trouble otherwise.
In the following three days, nobody saw sight of Chekhov Big Bear.
Manager Hanna deducted this squadron leader's basic bonus for the month on the grounds of "public indecency".
The LSP Big Bear, reflecting in Solitary Confinement, smacked his lips and muttered to himself, occasionally letting out a silly chuckle.
"Nice!"
This wave wasn't a loss!
