365-Day Trial Marriage With Hunk: Wife's A Little Wild

Chapter 14: I Can Help You If You Want

“I only need three minutes.” Fearing he would refuse, Qin Youxuan quickly added another sentence.

“Are you sure you can finish within three minutes? I don’t mind giving you a few more minutes, or perhaps we should communicate in a different way.” Dan Hanjie’s eyes flashed and his lips parted slightly.

“…Wha…What do you mean?”

“You want me to be your witness, to help you accuse the president of Chuangmei?” Dan Hanjie stood up from the chair, straightened his suit, and began walking towards her.

He backed Qin Youxuan step by step until she was against the door, looking down at her from a height.

He smirked, “What makes you think I will help you?”

“Yo…You know?” Qin Youxuan’s eyes widened, “Actually, I think you understand that I acted in self-defense because he made the first move.

The man in front of her pressed closer, Qin Youxuan was now fully against the door, her slender body against the hard wood, with nowhere to go.

Her pretty face was slightly flushed, and the mature, musky scent of the man filled her breath, making it hard to breathe.

“So what? What does that have to do with me?”

“Perhaps you do not know, even though Chuangmei is not large, it still holds a significant position in the industry. The Dan Group has many cooperative projects with them. What benefits would I gain from offending them? Don’t tell me it’s to uphold justice and fairness. Business people are ruthless, and so is Qin Mo.”

After Dan Hanjie finished speaking, he looked at her with an expression that suggested, ‘how could you be so naive.’

His gaze made Qin Youxuan’s frustration boil over.

How could she think that seeking help from this man would be better than conceding to the wily old man at Chuangmei?

This man was even worse than the wily old man!

Qin Youxuan gripped her bag tightly, took a deep breath, and turned around to leave.

“Wait. ”

With a slight raise of his hand, Dan Hanjie easily pinned her against the door, “I can help you… But…”

Qin Youxuan looked at him with confusion.

His attitude changed too quickly, scrambling her reactions.

Dan Hanjie glanced at her, one hand against the door, he lowered his eyes, leaned in close to her face, a wicked smile on his lips, “Do you remember my proposal? Be my woman, and we can avoid all the hassle of going to court.” “I remember, but I hope Mr. Dan also remembers my answer, ‘in your dreams!!” Qin Youxuan’s eyes were ablaze with fury.

She clenched her fists, gritting her teeth, as if she would love nothing more than to tear him apart.

Seeing her reaction, Dan Hanjie laughed as expected, “Such a wildcat, showing her claws so quickly.”

Qin Youxuan’s face turned even paler.

If she hasn’t realized by now that this man doesn’t intend to help her but to take advantage of her, then she’s been wasting her life.

Qin Youxuan took deep calming breaths, restraining herself from slapping the smirk off his face.

She was already facing assault charges; she couldn’t act impulsively now.

She turned around, reaching for the door handle – as soon as she moved, a cold laughed echoed from behind her.

“Do you think you can just come and go as you please here?”

Qin Youxuan paused, “What do you mean?”

Her nerves tingled as she forcefully turned the handle – it didn’t budge.

Qin Youxuan bit her lip, her eyes glowering at him, “What are you trying to do? Unlawfully detaining someone, I can sue you!”
