365-Day Trial Marriage With Hunk: Wife's A Little Wild

Chapter 197: Nobody is as Stupid as You

Qin Youxuan silently rolled her eyes and stepped back from him, “How did we end up back here? I remember we were being chased and then I…”

Qin Youxuan choked suddenly, her hand held by Dan Hanjie wildly retracting.

“Look at me!” Dan Hanjie held her chin, “It’s over, even if we really end up losing our lives, it has nothing to do with you. You fired that gun because of me. If anyone’s going to be in jail, it’s me. Understand?!”

“I killed someone…”

“I know!” Dan Hanjie interrupted, pulling her forcefully into his arms, “Qin Youxuan, the first time always feels like this. You can’t change anything by driving yourself crazy. Remember my words, if you hadn’t fired, we would be the ones dead. They deserved it!”

She wasn’t going crazy.

But his words did make her feel a little less miserable.

If she hadn’t fired the gun, he would have died, and she would have died too…

She didn’t want to die.

“I’ve asked Yao to arrange for a psychologist for you.” After a while, Dan Hanjie finally let her go, gazing down at her still pale face.

“No need.” Qin Youxuan shook her head, climbed up from the bed, and glanced around the room, “When are we going back home?”

“Right away.”

It seemed he was waiting for her.

“I’ll pack my things.”

“There’s nothing to pack. Taking you will be enough.” Dan Hanjie leapt off the bed, grabbed her wrist, and started dragging her out.

“Dan Hanjie, slow down, you’re injured!”

“Are you worried about me?” Dan Hanjie paused and looked back at her.

“No, I’m just worried that if your wound gets infected, you’ll make me take care of you, and I don’t want to do that.” Qin Youxuan defended naturally.

The air pressure in the room dropped instantly, a cold chill pervading the room.

Qin Youxuan trembled, snatched her hand back, and ran out.

Only when she ran out of the villa and saw the helicopter on the riverbank did her petite body freeze, unable to move.

The terrifying memory rushed into her mind.

Qin Youxuan turned around to look at the approaching Dan Hanjie and gave a bitter smile.

“Scared?”

“…Of course not, I’m not scared.” Qin Youxuan stubbornly denied.

“Then get in.”

Couldn’t they change to another mode of transportation?

She had just survived a terrifying escape from a helicopter and now she was about to get back in one. She didn’t have the resilience for this.

“I’ve taken your passport. If you don’t want to get in, you can jump into the river and swim back.” Dan Hanjie coldly dropped the words and took the lead into the cabin.

Oh, you’re ruthless!

Qin Youxuan reluctantly followed into the helicopter, muttering as she circled the cabin, checking every nook and cranny for hidden stuff.

“Are you panning for gold?” A hint of mockery appeared in Dan Hanjie’s eyes.

“No, I’m looking for more explosives.” Qin Youxuan replied earnestly, then continued examining under the seats.

“Do you think I’m stupid enough to let the same thing happen twice?”

There was no point in even trying to have a pleasant conversation.

Qin Youxuan grumbled as she got up from the floor, brushed her knees, and sat down on a seat.

She turned her head and watched the blue sky through the window, but all she could think about was the harrowing events of the previous night. She closed her eyes in panic.
