Chapter 2019: Dungeon Portal -Final

"Erm, I hope you do not laugh my name is Questo." The guildmaster said as he presented himself with a nod.

"Oh, because you as a the guildmaster of the Adventurer\'s Guild gives out quest…" Jin realised the pun and the Questo nodded his head. "Its fine, I heard names that are worse than yours. You do not have to worry. But might I ask why is your hand shaking? Some kind of medical problem?"

"No…I sincerely apologise your Majesty, It seems my body reacts terribly against a person that is stronger than me. Its sort of an instinct and somehow that protected me throughout the years while I raised up to the status of a guildmaster." Questo said and Jin smiled gently.

"Do not worry. I am not here to bite you." Jin said as he looked at the three portals that were in the Central Square. "How is the progress of the other two before we talk about the main topic at hand."

"The other two Rank F caves are going smoothly. There are apparently more Snow Wolves than the first as you had warned previously to go in with a bigger party of at least fifteen people. We thought it was overkill at first but later realised the caves were much bigger that enable large scale fights but that also come with the price of more Snow Wolves."

"It\'s a Rank F+. There should be a boss stronger than the Elder Snow Wolf for sure. At the very least, we know we are getting some meat."

"Yes, the meat processing is swift mainly because the dungeon portal is right over here. Allowing the salvagers to grade the meat to be at least a C to C+. Even just small amounts of that grade C meat mixed it a little with porridge would be able to filled an empty stomach easily.

"That\'s great to hear. So, you roughly know the situation of Ress?" Jin asked Questo and he nodded his head.

"As the Guildmaster of the Adventurer\'s Guild, it is my duty to know what is happening around the city, maybe better than the Royal Scribes since they do censor some information for the ministers to take in."

"I see, then I want an uncensored report from the adventurer\'s guild every morning and evening on my table. Hire one new administrative staff if you need." Jin ordered and Questo acknowledged to it.

"I will need some time to get the information ready for the tomorrow\'s morning one considering its late in the evening right now." Questo reasoned and Jin nodded his head.

"One issue in the afternoon or evening would be fine. The faster the better." Jin said and Questo acknowledged the orders once more. "So, what\'s with that seal? I assume that you had checked it once since your body can react to it danger."

"Yes, and my hand trembled harder than meeting you. I humbly suggest you close this portal and we focus on the other two." Questo said and Jin chuckled once more.

"I assume you are Rank S or something?" Jin asked and Questo nodded his head.

"Unfortunately, due to Ress\' situation, the adventurer\'s guild in Mong had decided to dispatch me here instead. They say that the mages here are powerful enough to kill demons so there was no need for such a strong guildmaster in Ress at all. I am merely just a Rank S- Adventurer."

"Ah, so you had been thrown here not of your volition." Jin said to him and he nodded his head slowly.

"No worries about that. Tell the people to evacuate Portal 1, I am going to break the seal. Get Gara to set up defensive barricades around Portal 1 as well but do not hinder the job of Portal 2 and 3." Jin said and Guildmaster Questo wondered if it was a good idea at all.

However, all he know was that there was no defying the orders of the King and he quickly acknowledged and go to find Royal Mage General Gara through the soldiers around the vicinity.

Meanwhile, Jin had already entered with the key at hand which Questo gave before he went to find Gara. It did not take long for Jin to find the seal door and he did not hesitate to enter it.

Upon entry, he realised that there was nothing inside but a big huge arena. However, what he was more interested were the pipes, metal and modern items such as railing were present in the area.

From what Jin had saw of Ress, Metal was only used for armour, weapons and perhaps some essential items. It was treated as an uncommon material that was not used for construction and here in this arena, there were metal seats etc that could be utilised.

Suddenly the door behind him closed and like an arena, a warning blared and started to raised a door from the far end.

Out came out a humanoid that Jin had never seen before in this particular world. It was like a lizardman but it had squarish metal scales on it. Perhaps, it was not even a proper humanoid and was actually a mechanical creation.

Without any warning, lasers were shot out of its palm and Jin understood why Questo was afraid. There was no way he could win against a laser attack from a Metal Lizardman much less denting it.

"Why are you smiling?" Mr Hammer asked as he did not see this as an opportunity but more like a death trap sentence.

"You could say I handle more than enough duels for a lifetime. But what I am smiling is that this particular monster is metal. What we lack is metal for this kingdom. Once we have metal and magic, we can create things that is out of this world. And perhaps even arm the commonfolk with some technological advanced weaponry to aid with the fight against the demons."

Jin said as he already started running and putting on his System Rider Helmet which was dangling at the back of his neck. Like a hood, he put it on and instantly called out the Mana Blooded Sword which he had made previously through Mr Hammer.

It did not take long for Jin to be in close range of the Metal Lizardman and the moment he clashed against it, sparks flew against an energy barrier. Yet that did not hinder Jin as the second contact against the energy barrier was filled with electrical Maqi with the intent to overload it.

To his surprise, it worked rather well and Jin instantly plunged the sword into the metal lizardman\'s neck, severing it in a blink of an eye.

Jin did not realised it was that weak or did he used too much Maqi. Regardless, he was waiting for the next one to appear but the arena lights were turned on and it celebrated Jin\'s victory.

"Eh? That\'s rather anticlimactic. I was expecting a harder fight."

"Dude, I think you are over rank for this fight in the first place…" Mr Hammer replied and suddenly, the System emerged and asked Jin to pick a reward.

It was either an experience boost to his Dungeon Summoning skill or Improvised Smithing skill. Obviously, Jin went for the latter since the Dungeon Summoning Skill was already considered to be overpowered and at a high rank. Improvised Smithing went up by a rank with the experience boost and its now Rank F+.

The conditions for using it did not change much or maybe it did not change in the eyes of Jin. The only difference was that the quality of smithing might increase. That\'s all.

"It\'s okay. What is more important is this particular arena.

I do not care how they are going to do it but they are going to pluck every single chair, every single tile, and every single piece of metal available in this arena unless it is forbidden by the dungeon portal." Jin said as he pulled the squared metal lizardman and his head along for he wanted to do more experiments with Improvised Smithing.

When Jin came out, Gara was seen assembling the defensive barricade and it looked like it was just the start and Jin shook his head. "Sorry, looks like I cleared it too quickly."

"This is the first time someone told me that they are apologetic for clearing the dungeon portal too quickly…What are your new orders then?"

"Get mages inside the unsealed room and make sure that it is truly clear of enemies. In the meantime, get all the smiths and handymans up. There\'s an entire room of metal to pick!"
