Chapter 2046: No Star Foxes
"You just want to torture people, right?" Jin bitterly smiled as he knew that while cruel, it was effective training.
"You did some torturing yourself too." Kraft snorted and Jin shook his head.
"Oh no, compared to your training? Mine is like a walk in the park!" Jin said and Kraft thought about it.
"Hmm, I do like the simple concept though. Just teach them what is needed to kill things and learn how to survive in a fight. Do those two things long enough and they should be able to outlive a usual soldier\'s lifespan by two times." Kraft nodded as he processed the information.
"If anything, I need you to whip up all of the ministries and get them to be active in supporting the kingdom. From what I see, it is only a few that could do their jobs. Experience tales at m v|l e\'-NovelBin.net
"You just miss the efficiency that the System provides. It is also a slave driver you know? It\'s just that you did not see it first hand most of the time... And the fact that you compensated your monster workers well with good accommodation, good food and more importantly a healthy salary to buy things that they like."
"Otherwise, you are no different than a slave master, handling all the monsters to your bidding and accomplishing things at such astonishing speeds," Kraft added. "But I am not exactly complaining, I always wanted to whip up some government employees and put them under my command. It is undoubtedly a harder challenge since I cannot break them because they cannot work on a daily basis."
"So, you will handle them? En Moy and Topharm are decent minister material. I suggest not to break those two too hard... The rest, I don\'t care." Jin said and Kraft got the meaning that these two would most likely be the leaders that would be reporting to Jin (or Kraft for the time being.)
"Yeah, sure. I already read your mind that you are going to open a war factory at the northern portion of Ress in order for the-\'\' Suddenly, Kraft saw a group of people flying towards him and he nearly pulled out his No Mercy to annihilate the threats. It was not until he remembered that Jin had trained a group that he was quick to lower his trigger fingers
"Your Majesty!" Number 4 saluted in mid air with the rest as well and substantially bowed towards the person that was right beside Jin. Although the newly formed Commando Mages do not know who he is, the vibe that this particular person was giving off was of the similar levels of power that Jin had emitted.
It took them months to finally recognise that Jin could control his mana output to the point that people might have thought he was a commoner.
Right now, this person beside him was not just manipulating his so called mana but he was able to put it so faintly that keen people like the commando mages could feel the dread emitted from his faint aura of power. It made their hair stand throughout their entire body and he was merely leaning at the window nodding his head with a light smile.
"Not bad, they have manners and know who to fear. You really taught them well." Kraft said telepathically to Jin.
"How\'s the situation?" Jin might as well ask the Commando Mages Platoon how the demon searching went since they accidentally interrupted their catch up and discussion.
"Your Majesty, you were right. There was indeed a tunnel deep enough that was away from the isolation barrier. The tunnel intersection was unbelievably hot. So we assumed it was approximately close to some lava bed." Number 4 stated. "But more importantly, it looks like a gathering place for the demons as well, as if they were waiting for some instructions."
"So we blasted all the tunnel intersections we could find except for the one that we needed to exit from." Number 8 added since she was appointed as vice squad leader. "Only when we were exiting the place, we close the remaining tunnel entrance and place detection magic and various traps to impede future attacks."
"Good. I will get Gara to post a sentry or two in the area. But were they easy to kill?" Jin questioned and most of them looked at each other before nodding their heads at once.
"Except for one who claimed he was some demon lord assistant and that killing him would bring the wrath of the demon lord to our kingdom. That guy it\'s a tad harder to fight and we needed more firepower to ensure that he goes down. So about 30 seconds or so. We only use successive high penetrative magic since we are in a cave. Did not want the whole place to come down at us." Number 4 added.
"Why did you not bring the entire cave down? Would that not be better than having the risk of allowing the demons to come through again?" Kraft asked as if it was a test question.
"We believed that the demons had some form of intelligence but at the same time, most of the lower class demons do not think that much but still process thoughts quite a bit. If we were to destroy the cave, they would seek an alternative to come in again and we need to be on high alert every single day." Number 8 explained.
"But if we were to only block their paths temporarily, they would take this as a chance to strike back at us again, and still concentrate on using the same cave. We can then monitor the cave as it is their sole entrance as of now. Who knows we might be able to also use that cave as a gateway to the northern regions."
"Not to mention, we can also send spies to other kingdoms or allow our previous spies to report back." Number 4 added, now knowing most of the operations that Ress had conducted because of Gara\'s teachings.
After all, Jin did tell Gara to make them privy to any secret operations since their clearance level should be one of the highest now that they were not just frontliners but the king\'s personal response team.
"Not bad of a deduction for that split moment." Kraft nodded his head in satisfaction. "Looks like I do not need to give these people any training as of now."
"Like I said, do not touch the military yet. Go deal with the government lackeys and then we will talk about your so called Star Foxes." Jin said out loud which did not make any sense to the Commando Mages.
"Bleh, but military peeps are easier to manipulate.:" Kraft gave a slight pouty frown and Jin insisted which eventually Kraft gave into it.
"In any case, thanks for your hard work. Go report back to Gara and tell them that you had seen me on the way back so there was no need for an official report on this to the king." Jin ordered and the Commando Mages gave their salute before flying off.
"So, who is this Mr Hammer that I see so much about?" Kraft asked and Jin immediately took him out.
"Is he trustworthy?" Mr Hammer\'s first words were the question.
"Generally no, he is not. But when the shit hits the fans, I can trust him with my life." Jin replied and Mr Hammer merely shrugged and acknowledged the new person right beside his owner.
"You are indeed a curious one." Kraft\'s face went extremely close to the hammer\'s face (Yeap... It\'s called face in hammer\'s \'anatomy\',) Mr Hammer nearly wanted to jump out of Jin\'s hand but continued to keep calm.
"What do you want? Why are you staring at me at such a close distance."
"Residue of wrath and hatred in your body. And it\'s not the normal kind where it fades and goes. Yours is etched into your very soul. No wonder Jin took a liking for you." Kraft rubbed his chin a little.
"You make it sound like I go around finding hated weapons." Jin remarked.
"Haha!" Kraft knew that Jin wanted to use this weapon as his own for Celestial defying fights. Unlike the demons who were easier to kill, the Celestials were a breed of their own.
"In any case, pass Mr Hammer for a bit. Maybe, I can even do some \'Improvised Smithing\' for myself," Kraft said and Jin gave the most sceptical look ever. It was not that Kraft could not synthesize or replicate the same thing but to bestow him the ability to smith anything could be a dangerous endeavour.
"I... will hold on Mr Hammer for a while longer," Jin replied, not trusting him on this one.
"Your Loss. I will just go redefine your government lackeys into real competent lackeys," Kraft replied and he jumped out of the window, disappearing when Jin attempted to take a peek at it.
