The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1208: Contest of Strength

Compared to the two mutated birds, the mutated falcon, and eagle—he wanted to catch the mutated falcon the most since it has a Lunar Bee controlling its mind. Rex knew from Flunra, that they were extremely valuable beings for a Werewolf.

So he was not going to let the mutated falcon slip from his hands.

Along the way, Rex could hear and feel several collisions of energies from the sides.

It definitely came from the others, but he didn\'t come to check on them.

He kept moving in a straight line and hiked the hills he encountered along the way in search.

Upon reaching the top—Rex was excited when he saw a massive cave, near its tip. But when he checked the cave, it was empty—there was nothing inside, "If only the fog did not restrict my senses to mere meters, I would\'ve fine them by now..."

Not only the vagueness of energy, but the cold place also made it hard to catch their scent.

Rex and the others were forced to search for the mutated birds manually.

Going to the edge—Rex looked down from the top and saw nothing but thick fog blocking his view. "I don\'t know if the mutated birds are still around. For all I know—both of them could\'ve flown out of this pace"

Finding no traces of the mutated birds, Rex began to be frustrated.

He cursed himself for letting the mutated falcon go earlier, he should\'ve clung onto it harder.

Just then, his eyes moved to numerous bright blue spots that pierced the fog\'s thickness.

It was only a couple hundred meters away from the hill he was on.

Seeing this, Rex pointed towards that place before Delta leaped off of the hill.

Despite the height of the hill, it was nothing for both of them.

Crash!

Landing on the ground firmly, Delta galloped with her strong legs—and headed to the bright blue spots in the distance. Soon—Delta slides on the snowy ground until she to a halt. Upon seeing the place, Rex climbed down and looked around.

"It\'s like a treasure trove for materials, this must be something good too," Rex used.

As it turns out, the bright blue light came from trees.

Unlike the previous trees, these ones appeared like a monument of steel instead of an actual tree. Even the trunk of these trees was disconnected, the upper half seemed to be levitating, and there was a blue gem at the center.

Before he could do anything, Delta already approached the trees and sniffed them.

For once, she was curious about these trees.

"Delta, don\'t go near the trees, we didn\'t know if they are dangerous or not," Rex warned.

Just as he said that, however, he felt a sting coming from his stomach.

Glancing downward, Rex was surprised when he saw a steel sword piercing his stomach.

"Hmm...?!" He grunted in shock before blood drizzled down the corner of his mouth.

Rumble!

Suddenly, the ground began to shake beneath him.

Rex scanned his surroundings, his eyes widening as he noticed the upper halves of the trees, the monument-like steel trees that is, began shifting. All of them began flying—and slamming into each other with a resounding, metallic clash.

A surreal sight, even for Rex who has seen a lot of weird things.

In a slow manner, the towering structures melded together, morphing into a creature.

A massive creature that loomed over him and Delta—making them both tiny in its presence.

One look is all it takes for Rex to realize what it was, a steel golem!

...

<Magnarock>

Race: Elder Steel Treant

Status: Annoyed.

Power: Ninth-rank (Peak) - Heavy Magnet

Mental: ∞

Strength: 532,350 (+50,000)

Agility: 75,000 (+10,000)

Endurance: 473,000 (+70,000)

Intelligence: 99,000 (+15,000)

Danger Zone: Limbs

...

Scanning the massive creature, Magnarock, he realized that it was not a steel golem.

Rather, it was an Elder Treant.

"Full of surprises, the Second Breath is really full of surprises... How can a Treant race be like this?" Rex mused—as he now knows the monument-like trees earlier were not trees at all but parts of a colossal, slumbering Treant.

A Treant that was made of steel, a mutated Treant, or a Treant with a unique bloodline.

Maybe the extremely cold climate of the Chrono Hollow caused this mutation.

Its eyes glowed with a lethal light as it was annoyed, being awakened from its dormancy.

Upon completing its form, Magnarock turned to face Rex and Delta.

Every step or move from it shuddered the ground, displaying its immense weight.

Now that he looked at Magnarock properly, Rex could see that its entire body was covered in heavy armor, it was akin to a living armor sentinel. Had Magnarock been smaller, he would be mistaking it for a beefy human or other humanoid races in heavy armor.

But at the sight of Magnarock, Rex got into his battle stance and squinted his eyes.

Swoosh!

CLANG!!

In the blink of an eye, he dashed ahead and threw out a powerful, raw punch.

Rex could feel that his knuckles throbbing from hitting something extremely solid—however, the sheer power from his punch, sent Magnarock stumbling a couple of heavy steps back. It came as a surprise as it didn\'t expect Rex to be able to pack a punch.

But then, Magnarock quickly recovered and spread its arms to the side.

Naturally, it was about to respond to Rex\'s attack.

Under Rex and Delta\'s gazes, the lower half of the monument-like trees that Magnarock was formed from, begin to tremble. It spat out ash-colored essence—and it went to Magnarock\'s hands.

Like mana, it was manipulated by Magnarock\'s power.

Eventually, the ash-colored essence became two massive shields.

Both were strapped and molded to merge with Magnarock\'s arms, becoming one.

As the shields were formed, Rex squinted his eyes, "Delta, stand back. I\'ll take this one,"

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Magnarock began sprinting towards Rex—its massive stature shaking the ground as it made its way forward. Even though Magnarock\'s speed was lackluster—as Rex could easily dodge this one attack, he decided to stand his ground.

Upon reaching a step away from Rex, Magnarock merged its shields into one.

It was aiming to body charge Rex, capitalizing on its abnormal strength.

However—a sudden intense energy, exploded from its body, when the shields were about to connect with Rex. One could see that its energy—spread throughout its body suddenly went to its shields.

Rex could feel the intense energy, and his senses felt danger from it.

BAM!!

Considering his strength, league above the peak of the ninth-rank realm, Rex was astonished to feel the air forced from his lungs, as the body charge, hit. He attempted to hold his ground and absorb the full impact.

But instead, he was driven back seven steps before he regained his balance.

Roar!!

Clang!

Clang!

In a taunting manner, Magnarock slammed both shields together and bared its chest open.

An intimidation display, akin to a gorilla pounding its chest.

Rex could see that its stats—its endurance stat achieved a big increase, totaling around six hundred thousand, to more than seven hundred thousand. Such an increase was shocking, the forming of the two shields increased its stats by a lot.

Not to mention, despite the helmet, Rex could feel that Magnarock was smirking at him.

Almost as if Magnarock was saying that it could surprise him too if it wanted.

Upon seeing that Magnarock readied itself again, Rex smiled in response.

Compared to me, I\'m still way stronger, I could easily overpower it in my Werewolf form.

Even without my Werewolf form, I could dodge its charge easily.

If I use any skill, I\'ll pierce through its body but...

Crack!

Looking at Magnarock, Rex smiled maniacally as he planted his feet deeper into the snow.

He knew that he was being challenged.

Inside of him, there was a primal pride of wanting to exert his dominance over others, and it would feel extremely bad if he dodged the charge or even used a skill. Rex\'s pride, as a man would be scarred if he did any of that.

Challenged by another entity, he was not going to flee from the challenge.

Rex was going to confront the challenge head-on, and show that he was the dominant one.

It taunted me to go at it raw, I would be damned if I refused its challenge!

Lifting his gaze, he lowered his stance and glared at Magnarock, "Come on then. If you want a contest of physique—I\'m not going to shy away from it. Come, show me the extent of your manhood, Magnarock!"

Roar!!

Harnessing no strength at all, Rex sprinted ahead with a ferocious glint in his crimson eyes.

He went ahead raw, fully intending to use nothing but his raw physique.

Similarly, Magnarock also did the same, putting the shield in front once again.

On the other hand—Delta could only watch the scene unfold, in confusion—she did not quite understand why Rex decided to entertain Magnarock and didn\'t even use his powers. Surely, going in raw like this would only benefit Magnarock.

But then again, she was not going to meddle in this battle and got squished between them.

As the two got close, Rex flexed his muscles, his eyes bulging with determination.

"Raaargghh!!"

He unleashed a primal battle cry as he quickened his speed.

Both giants prepared for the clash, each intent on proving their strength as the ground under them trembled beneath their powerful strides. Eventually, both of them collided, their impact was cataclysmic, a thunderous crack that reverberated through the entire area.

Just the sheer force of their raw collision sent a shockwave rippling through the ground.

It caused the very air to vibrate and uprooted the deep snow in dozens of meters radius.

Delta was on edge as she watched this from the side.

Dust and debris exploded outward, obscuring her vision in a thick haze.

As the dust began to settle, the figures of Rex and Magnarock emerged.

Rex remained standing at the center of the clash—he seemed to be several steps away from the point of impact—and is now gasping for air. On the other side—Magnarock was thrown a hundred meters away, its propelled path etched clearly on the ground.

Even without his powers, he came out on top, and his lips curved into a smile.

"Guess my manhood is stronger," He mused triumphantly.

Seeing him coming out as the winner of the contest of strength—Delta leaped onto him, and began licking him out of excitement. Rex smiled as for some reason—winning this clash, was more satisfying than escaping the mutated eels from before.

Rawr?

Delta asked, looking at Magnarock sprawled on the other side.

"No, it\'s not dead. I probably knocked it out," Rex muttered as he stood up again.

Upon finishing the clash, the wound he suffered began healing rapidly again, and without any need for recuperation, Rex was in full power once again. Fighting him when the opponent has no way of dealing with his regeneration would be a nightmare.

He simply wouldn\'t go down no matter how vicious the damage he suffered was.

Just as he recovered, he went over to Magnarock.

As he expected, Magnarock was rendered, unconscious, "I like this Treant—maybe I\'ll bring it back to the city. Ugrok might need a wrestling friend, and Magnarock is very much able to fill that role"

Looking at the blue gem on the ground, Rex grabbed it and scanned it with the System.

Seeing the description, he immediately shattered the gem.

Rex watched as energy burst from the shattered gem—gradually thinning, the surrounding fog. The blue gem, imbued with the power of the Chrono Hollow, had the ability to diminish the fog\'s density in its vicinity.

It was greatly helpful, and fortunately, there were a lot of these blue gems around.

However, suddenly, Rex snapped his neck to the side.

On the far distance to his right, Rex could hear a loud screech that pierced his eardrums like a lightning strike. Instead of being worried—another smile crept onto his face as he saw one of the mutated birds on the hill in the distance.

.net

Liliya and another Awakened seemed to be the ones who found it.

Naturally, the mutated bird was attempting to fly away to escape.

But Rex was not going to let that happen, "Excuse me, Magnarock. But I\'ll be using you..."
