At the same time, the Sea Portal was giving quite a fair bit of problems as some ships had been destroyed due to the invasion of more aggressive monsters. There were casualties but so far no one died from it. Rifle Mages who had graduated early began to assist with the protection of the ships and it was good consistent training as well.

It seems that the longer the dungeon was opened, the more the dungeon had started to grow as well. But at the same time, it puzzled Jin since he had excavated the entirety of Portal 4 where the forest disappeared due to the extreme extraction of materials. There was no dungeon core to be seen nor were there any monsters that respawn.

Yet for the sea portal, it did not seem to be the case. The dungeon rank was still the same and a new variety of monsters emerged as if to fill the gap that this open sea dungeon had given. The new fishes were also seen as fit to the ecosystem of the new variety of monsters which broke the cycle and knowledge of what they knew about created dungeons.

The only thing was that the people and fishermen who were now working were aware that the ocean was not the only thing that they had to contend with. However, the danger encountered was equivalent to the rewards so they were not too worried. In addition, fresh out of the oven Rifle Mages were protecting them and they were eager to prove their worth to the kingdom as well.

Even though Kraft did not have an official hand in the training, Jin eventually gave him the reins to it after he had dealt with the majority of the problems with the government officials. Yeah, Kraft finally bestowed them with the title of officials rather than just workers not because their titles would be used interchangeably.

They had proven their worth to Kraft that they were the traits to officially represent the kingdom\'s governance.

It was tough but now each and every \'retrained\' official was able to do their work more efficiently. As for the Rifle Mages, Kraft had already seen what Jin had done to the Commando Mages and he did something similar at a wider scale and with extreme impunity too. They came out more seasoned than Jin\'s commando training attempt much to the latter\'s disbelief.

Hence, he eventually decided (with reluctance) to put the first batch of Commando Mages into Kraft\'s care as well.

They were given more than Hell. If there was a version of Hell in Hell\'s perceived version of Hell. that was what the first batch of Commando Mages had gone through. Their every attack was of such accuracy and power that they deserved the title of Commando Mages. It was to the point where Jin believed that if ten of them combined together, they could annihilate Kraft and maybe Jin too.

The only difference was that they were unable to do that due to the blood contract that Kraft subsequently made them sign to prevent any sort of betrayal of their king or instructors. It was so eerie and scary at times that Jin wondered if such a blood contract could be rendered broken. (Kraft did give his assurances.)

Hence, with the sea portal providing more than expected, it was not closed compared to Portal 5 which had also been plucked clean by the kingdom. A newer crystal cave aka Portal 8was up and with the protection of the brand new Rifle Mages, they were able to start raiding A Rank dungeons which provided stronger and higher quality crystals.

Even the Water Crystal that was used for the kingdom had been smithed once more by Jin when he added the new crystals into the original as reinforcements.

As for Portal 7, the adventurer\'s guild finally found what Jin had been talking about for the past few weeks. At first, they thought it was merely a patch of black sand, but they finally dug it deeper and found a reservoir of it. So they had finally found oil. Lots of it.

Water and Earth Mages were employed to extract these oil but they had no idea what it was for until Jin told them to collect them and transfer them to the automation factory.

With hundreds of litres within the storage, the factory had also been smithed once more by Jin and suddenly more functions came about for the place. Things that were metallic and clunky had been remodelled with items that could be made with oil. Plastic covers, clothes, and even electronics due to the functionality of oil.

Jin was worried that he needed to process them but it seemed that having just the base material would be fine and dandy.

That was why Jin had decided to work on locomotives as the next portion of the kingdom\'s revitalisation. With trains, the kingdom can afford the expansion of the towns and villages with relative ease. This would also enable quick response of troops and goods to the various towns and increase in trade too.

Not to mention, they did not need to worry about monsters since the entirety of Ress had been isolated which meant a quicker implementation of tracks too.

The Minister of Kingdom Development Topharm had been actively taking care of this project as the expansion of the kingdom was under his purview. Kraft had also ...force fed Topharm with loads of information from Jin\'s world as well as the Mecha World, giving him unprecedented knowledge in terms of expanding the kingdom.

Thus, Jin can lessen his load with the planning portion of the kingdom expansion and focus more when it comes to improvised smithing.

In fact, the king was attempting to integrate crystals and make them move fast while being sturdy....with many multiple attempts through improvised smithing. He initially created a standard modern train that most people in his world were currently using right now.

The only difference was that it was running on crystals and the controls were similar to what the automation factory had created in the Sherman Tank. Subsequently, he used the train as a base and added more things to it, hoping it could change its speed, power, etc.

And it worked.

The train was more efficient in terms of crystal consumption and its speed increased as well. Soon, he started to modify it such that it had the strength to pull various loads, such as carriages and containers and when the first railway track connected from the main capital city to the nearest town available, people saw the mechanical beast at work.

It was magnificent.

Those who were not at the train stations were staring at it from afar since the train had been fenced up due to the lethality of its possible speed. Surely some might still be able to enter through floating or levitational magic but Jin wanted to prevent death from those commoners and people who were not in the known of such an invention of a transportation system.

While the rest who had paid for their tickets through the new Ress currency notes were given entry into the train station and everyone could have a look at how it was. The train station was connected to a train depot, a space that had been reserved through Jin\'s meticulous planning when he was building up the commoner\'s residence quarters.

He knew that the train depot was important to make sure that goods would be arranged and delivered through there.

But of course, it was as per usual, he hid it deep underground the commoner\'s quarter to not sully the environment. And in some way or another, the underground train depot also provided more space for the logistics of goods.

People were enticed to work in this new place as much as the new automation factory which was now building more train tracks and rails so that ultimately the entirety of Ress could be connected. By the end of the next month, he hoped that the train tracks could move through north, south, east and west in less than an hour if it were the express tracks.

This would ensure that if Ress would ever get invaded, the movement of goods would be solid enough to replenish both human and asset rich resources.

After all, Jin knew that if he lowered the isolation barrier, the other countries would surely swoop in to attack Ress. It was merely a matter of when and how.
